This property was old and run down. The furniture was shoddy, the couch pillows smelled like dirty greasy hair, my niece remarked that the entire place spelled musty like a basement. The bathrooms were tiny, and not well appointed. In the primary suite, the solitary tiny shelf for storage above the sink sat at an angle, causing everything to fall into the sink whichhad no stopper. The other bathroom had an odd wedge-like pie shape that narrowed as you got close to the toilet. You had to sit sideways on the toilet in order to be able to use it. Would it kill someone to put a box of Kleenex in one of the bathrooms? During our weeklong stay, we had to buy dish soap, sponges and shower cleaner. In the tiny closet in a bedroom meant to sleep at least 4 people there was a total of 3 hangers. You couldn’t even hang much in the closet because of all the extra bedding stuffed into it. We have been coming to Hilton Head for years and this is the worst place we have ever stayed. The only good things I can say about this property is it was close to the beach and there was good water pressure in the shower. Some basic instructions in this place would be very helpful. For example, how to get to the beach, how to operate the thermostat, a simple note indicating that they were beach chairs in the closet opposite the front door. Little touches would go a long way. This place wasn’t exactly cheap, but we would’ve had better amenities at a Motel 6.
