Amazing late summer vacation!

We were looking forward to having a vacation this year to get away from the day-to-day and relax, and this house did not disappoint! Checking in was as easy as confirming online and using the code on the door. We had one little issue and the property manager was extremely responsive and showed up almost immediately to help. The location is amazing it is super close to the beach and even a nice longer walk to the main area of shops and grocery. The house is true to the pictures and was even better that it is so private and we even saw a deer pop up near the backyard. We absolutely will be back next year! Five stars absolutely.

Amazing place for the summer

This was the perfect house for our 4 families to get together with kids from 1 to 11. We walked to Coligny park, 15 minutes away. Easy walk across street to beach also. Pool was great, only suggestion is to offer an electric leaf blower to keep the leaves and pine needles cleaned up. The playground wasn’t used much but could use

Wonderful Beach Vacation and Family Celebration

All of our party was very impressed with 1 Mallard Road. The photos of the property are accurate. It was spacious, relaxing, and comfortable. There were many board games upstairs as well as the pool table and the ping pong table downstairs. There were some books upstairs, also. We like to cook and found the kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, casserole dishes, blender, drip coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker, hand held mixer, toaster, and all manner of plates, bowls, silverware, and glassware. All of our family was comfortable in the bedroom/bathroom assignments. Pump soap was provided in the bathrooms. Recommend bringing shampoo with you. We all enjoyed the pool. It was very nice for our youngest grandchild to have the small pool connection in which to splash safely! We did not use the hot tub because the weather was so nice. The fact that the property is at the end of a street was very helpful as there was minimal traffic. The children were safe walking the couple of blocks to North Beach. We only had to cross one street that had modest traffic. We recommend this property and Host2Coast service. We would book it again. The only thing that could have been better was that we took some kitchen equipment with us that was unneeded because I didn't receive the list of small appliances that I asked for. Now I understand that most everything you could ask for in a kitchen is in this kitchen.

Highly recommend

This property was amazing and very accommodating for our family of 13 with ages ranging from 1-66 years old. We were a 5 minute walk to the private beach. 5 minute drive or 15 min walk to the main park location. House was clean, updated, spacious, several bedrooms and bathrooms. The kids absolutely loved the pool area- there was a kiddie section attached to the larger pool. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay near the beach

We come to Hilton head every year and this by far was the best place we’ve stayed in. The house had every thing we needed and it was really close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The only thing that was a little annoying was that the pool wasn’t working properly. The owner was quick to respond and had the pool people come by to fix it. We had a great time and we’ll definitely be back again next year.

Family Friendly

This home is a great place if you have kids. Not a far walk from the beach. No need to bring beach items as the home filled will buckets, chairs, boogie boards. Books and board games for all. The home can use some updating but other then that we enjoyed our stay. We will be returning.

Pros: 1. Location: close proximity to Coligny and a very short walk to the private beach. The house is at the end of a dead end road which limits traffic for the kids 2. Private pool. 3. Well stocked kitchen, games, playground that is fenced in separately from the pool, ample seating indoor and outdoors. 4. Extremely fun place for the family Cons: 1. Lots of pet pet hair/dust on floors. When we checked in, it was obvious the cleaning company doesn’t vacuum under furniture or beds as there was a ton of debris. If something went under the couch from the kids playing a ton of fur/debris would accompany. 2. Hornets. There were a ton of hornets by the pool area and playground portion of the house. They didn’t bother us; however, it appears they may have a nest, potentially in the attic, as they would all land on the outside of the house and go through the siding/roof meeting.

Great family getaway

We had a wonderful time in Hilton Head Island and at this home. There was plenty of room for our group, 2 families (6 Children and 4 Adults). The only issue was the pool area is nearly impossible to keep free of leaves and debris from the trees. The neighborhood and the beach are amazing.

Great for families!

We had a great week at this house which was just a short walk to the beach. We really loved the heated pool since we had a chilly week and also enjoyed the backyard play area. There was a ton of stuff for kids at the house!

Needing some TLC

The home is spacious, open floor plan makes it convenient to have entire family together. Location great, neighborhood quiet and short easy walk to beach. However, the pool area needs a huge amount of work. The furniture all needed completely cleaned before we could use & the nicest furniture needs deep cleaned, we couldn't use it. There's an excess of leaves due that huge tree overhanging over the hot tub & the pool company only uses a blower to push leaves to edges. The pool also needs a deep clean on the bottom. The hot tub control panel is broke, you just have to push buttons until you find jets and the pool light doesn't work. There are broken chairs & too much stuff in the pool area, the beach wagons packed full and has old moldy water sitting in it. The back yard desperately needs landscape cleaned up too overgrown & ping pong table, swing set too dirty to use. The firepit shown in pictures is not there.

Wonderful COVID-friendly Getaway

The property is very family friendly. Large open floor plan between the family room and kitchen. Big fenced-in yard with a separate section for the pool and hot tub. We loved that it welcomed pets...we brought our two dogs and they loved going for walks on the beach. It took us less than 5 mins to walk to the beach. Very close to Coligny Plaza so we biked there often. This is a great property!

Great family home

First of all I really appreciate that we were allowed to check in early. I loved the feeling entering the house. It is very open and provided a true warm family atmosphere. We traveled with our whole family including a 7 month old granddaughter and we felt at home. We were disappointed in the pool and area around it. The pool surface needs to be redone and (due to the pine trees all around) we had to clean it constantly during our stay) Too many chairs and outdoor furniture around the pool made it look junky and messy. The pump and heater went out while we where there but got taken care of the following day. All in all we had a wonderful time and nice vavcation

Awesome home for families and pets!

If you are looking for a truly kid friendly house, this is it! We have vacationed in many homes over the years but this home did the best when accommodating our children. Pool toys, child size furniture, indoor toys, games and children’s books, high chair, mini crib, baby gates and pack n play. Not to mention the fenced playground area that is separate from the pool area so little ones can play outside without you worrying that they may get close to the pool unsupervised. My only complaints would be: The desperate need for a dining table. It is very hard to eat as a family at the kitchen island bar. Maybe switch the card/game table in the living room for a small dining table and store the board games and puzzles on an inexpensive bookcase or shelf?? Just an idea. Also, the internet is very spotty. Sometimes it worked great and other times not at all. Makes it a little hard to stream movies on the smart TVs during rainy days...especially with impatient little ones. Other than that we loved the house and our 3 year old had an amazing birthday here!! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The beach a 5 minute walk and Coligny shopping a 3 minute drive (or 20 minute walk). We hope to be back this spring when our youngest turns 1!

Property was well done and and cared for. Large accommodations on one level is a PLUS! The only item that I noticed was the range hood power did not seem to be working - no fan or lights. Not a huge deal.

Wonderful!

Great property a few minutes’ walk to the beach! The pool was an added perk - we had a baby in group, so that was helpful since he decided to eat all the sand at the beach but we still had a place to splash around. Hot tub is great to relax in, though a very tight squeeze for four people, but we made it work. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
