“Staff and service were amazing but my room was a little run down. Even though it was a non smoking room, it had a faint smell of stale cigarette smoke which was making me nauseous. However, they brought me complimentary sandalwood incense and with the windows open it got better. The sandalwood helped me sleep and I got the best rest of my trip so far. Overall a nice stay and historic but could use some updating!”

The dinner and breakfast offer a delightful kaiseki meal with ingredients from the sea and mountains, along with a buffet style that includes both Western and Japanese dishes, ensuring high satisfaction. There’s also a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the nearest station. I highly 100% recommend it!”

“This was one of the most incredible experiences we had in Japan. The staff and service level are extraordinary. The 8 or 10 course meals at dinner and breakfast were an unbelievable experience. We traveled with young kids with varying degrees of adventurous eating and the staff was able to prepare dishes that were more western (mini sausages, fries, sunny side eggs).
