“Great location in central Ambleside ”

“Food was amazing at each meal, all portions are huge !!! We stayed both in a pod for 2 nights and everything was so nice we extended our stay and had 2 nights in the hotel. Both were comfy and very clean. All staff were friendly and very efficient. We will definitely return ”

“A lovely clean room with fantastic views. The room and bathroom were massive and it was very quiet. We had a great breakfast and lovely evening dinner at the Pennington. All the staff were brilliant. ”

“This was a very friendly place with nice food. It is on a very busy main road so opening windows at night is noisy. Bathroom needed a good clean and some maintenance, new grouting also some hooks would help in the bathroom.”

“Parking space was a great plus. A nice old traditional pub with plenty tables outside. Bed comfortable enough for one night stay. Good, powerful shower. Delicious full english breakfast. Dining room was a little fusty and in need of a some TLC and the evening meal was a bit overpriced for what it was but still an overall charming stay in this gorgeous location. ”
