“A very lovely, light house with a nice sense of space. The staircase with the bathroom to the left and rooms to the right with lovely big windows was really special when used to living in a one bedroom flat in London. The town is beautiful and it's wonderful being so close to everything. The people are friendly and Northumberland is just magical. We cant wait to return one day.”

“We had a wonderful time - Cottage is perfectly placed - 50 yds from a choice of wonderful walks left to the Harbour & on to St Abbs Head, or turn right to Coldingham and beyond. Very impressed with the accommodation - cosy and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better place to stay, and the Tunnocks wafers were a very nice extra - thank you!”

“Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time.”

“Lovely location with a beautiful garden. All items needed for a short stay available for use. Double bed so comfortable however twin beds a little cramped together. Only minor comment for improvement was that is was cold the 1st night as heaters not on. Would book again”

“The location of the property is stunning - a minute's walk from a quiet bay and with details of coastal paths and other circular walks provided by the owner. 15 minutes walk to Coldingham itself where there's a Spar for basics, an excellent butchers, and a couple of pubs. The house has great views from the front down to the sea and plenty of room for eating and socialising in a back garden with facilities that would be perfect for the summer time. “This cottage provides everything to spend a great holiday time. Very well situated near the Scottish border, 5 minutes by car from the sea and a wonderful beach, very quiet and comfortable and well-equiped. The quite big garden is lovely. Many places to visit around in England as well as in Scotland. Communication with Jacqui was very easy and she will always help if needed. We will certainly return if spending holidays again in this region.”

“We had a great stay as a group of friends. The photos really dont do it justice - there is plenty of space in this light, airy, gorgeous bungalow. Really enjoyed using the well-stocked kitchen and the hot tub was a lot of fun. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay.”

“We visited Driftwood for a long weekend. This was a really comfortable, well set up holiday home. Very well equipped, loads of games and puzzles, lots of beach’s equipment too. Embleton is a perfect base for exploring the area and is only about a 20 minute walk to the beach. From there you can of course walk for mikes and miles in either direction. 10/10”

“We love this part of the Northumberland coast and visit regularly, and we did have a good time. I do think this cottage is overpriced for the quality of accommodation. The kitchen and main bedroom are very nice but the rest is a little tired. The furniture is miss matched flat pack and the bedding is of poor quality. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable (kids said like their student digs) the curtains are far too thin and don’t keep the cold out, we had to buy a lot of wood to keep the lounge...

“This property was fantastic, excellent location overlooking the sea. Perfect for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own en-suite/bathroom. Welcome basket of bread, jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk was nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you”

“My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. Beds were excellent and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. Parking was easy. Liz was very responsive to any questions we had. And the lounge was a perfect place to relax after a day out. We were only 2 but 4 people would be very comfortable. Jean”
