Short and Sweet

The room was so much smaller in person than it seemed in the photos. Honestly, I didn't have an issue with it, but my sister thought it was awful and that I should have researched way more. LOL. She's so picky. So just as an FYI, unless you are a travelling couple, this is not the ideal room. I think my mistake was that I was last-minute shopping and thought I read something in this listing but it was another listing and got mixed up. I was thinking this had multiple rooms. It is a studio. One bed. A couch that can be a futon. But you are all gonna be in one room. Let me be clear though, there is nothing wrong with the room. It's nice! I didn't book it for the room. I booked it for the "beach". The beach is tiny though. Because I was there on a Thursday I literally had it to myself. Got tan lines. Tiff's (restaurant) over rated. The shops are over priced and close way too early. Bring your own food! Our hosts were great! All the whacky codes were annoying but luckily we figured it out eventually. Also please note that this room does not allow you to bring your dog, but there were a ton of dogs on the property. So be prepared to miss your dog like crazy...

Clean, but uncomfortable beds

The mattress needs replaced and the futon is not a place that anyone should have to sleep. It would have been an excellent stay if the sleeping arrangements weren’t so uncomfortable!

Great Studio Room, Perfect for Two!

We were looking for a small place to stay at Smith Mountain Lake with easy access to a boat ramp and dock space. Belle's Boat Haven turned out to be perfect. We communicated with our hosts several times before, during and after our stay. Ryan and Danielle were friendly, accessible and very positive in their responses. The room itself was sparkling clean and the amenities were great for our three-day stay. We had access to a boat ramp, dock, a large outdoor pool, and more. The condo is located in Mariner's Landing, a beautiful, large golf-centered community. We at dinner at Bruno's Clubhouse Bistro on the property, which is open to condo guests. The food and service were fantastic! We greatly enjoyed our stay and recommend Belle's Boat Haven for a Smith Mountain Lake getaway!

Cute for a couple getaway

This property was perfect for me and my boyfriend’s 1st trip together. The room was just what we needed. It was cute, modern, and budget friendly! What I liked most was all of the amenities that were included with the price. The owner is also extremely helpful! Not only did she answer my questions about checking in, but she also gave me detailed information when I asked her about any activities that SML was doing for the 4th of July. She also answered my questions about renting a boat/jet ski. She always responded within the hour that I messaged her!

Very nice and clean

Very nice studio but needs some lubricant on the squeaky bed frame. It’s not very dark at night inside the room due to light coming in through the blinds. Very clean place and adequately supplied with the basics. Hopefully next time the fishing pier will not be blocked off so we can fish there instead of going to the state park.

Such a great place!

Really enjoyed staying here. Very tastefully decorated and quality materials. Super easy access. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. The location was great and amenities on site looked good; did not use much due to other committments.

Smith Mountain Lake

Smith Mountain Lake was cold, 35 degrees with sustained winds of 30 mph during my stay, but I ventured out on to the lake and caught some nice laregmouth bass. It was very nice to come home to a safe, clean and warm vacation nook. I enjoyed my stay and would repeat.

Awesome time

Great getaway for my wife and I. Appreciated the host responsiveness to helping navigate the amenities. The lake is beautiful and loved being so close to Smith Mountain Lake State Park, lots of trails to walk too. Would love to come back in the summer.

The perfect getaway!

Awesome little spot for my husband and I! Location is beautiful - can’t believe I have never been! Resort has so many amenities and the studio fit our needs perfectly. Ryan and Danielle were so responsive and helped with some restaurants and things to do etc. being that we stayed off season. Would love to return during the summer season to enjoy even more of the amenities and time on the lake. Can’t wait to be back! :)
