  • Welcome to Sunset Cove! Here you can take in one of the most breathtaking Smith Mountain Lake sunsets over the open cove and beach! Revel in the spectacular views from all three levels of this townhome with a walk-out deck or patio on each level. Sunset Cove is in the Waterways Community which offers a swimming pool (open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day), tennis and basketball courts, a boat ramp, trailer storage, and a community beach! This townhouse is conveniently located to all local attractions and is incredibly close to the Smith Mountain Lake State Park.

    A new split air-conditioning system has been added to the upstairs area to make it more comfortable for guests. New flooring throughout the entire house better accommodates your pets. The main level, basement sitting room, and the bedroom TVs are conveniently set up with Roku. Sunset Cove provides three sleeping areas and three-and-a-half baths, making plenty of room for the entire family to join your vacation!

    On the entry level you will feel right at home with a well-equipped kitchen that is open to the dining room, living room, and half bath. The living room has abundant space for everyone to relax while also enjoying the view of the lake. Open the sliding glass doors right off the living room and let in the natural sunlight to brighten the space.

    Upstairs features a waterfront primary bedroom with a large bathroom with a standalone shower and soaking tub, and a private balcony to enjoy your morning coffee. The second upstairs bedroom also has a full-sized bathroom. The laundry completes the upper level.

    Downstairs showcases the third bedroom with a full-sized bathroom. The open entertainment area will be the hangout spot for your vacation crew, as it has a TV, large sofas, a bar area, and sliding glass doors that lead to the gas grill and beach.

    A covered boat slip with no lift is available by request (this vacation rental accommodates one boat only).

    Things to Know
    Max occupancy is four people over the age of two years old (county and state law).

    Dock Details: Limit 1 boat can be docked during stay. MUST be in the boat slip marked for the unit. No exceptions.

Great start to summer

Great place for a last minute trip

My adult kids and I spent a week here working remotely and enjoying the lake in our down time. It was a great townhouse and the lake and beach were super convenient for playing in the water. We would definitely stay here again if were come back to the area.

Beautiful location and well stocked kitchen. We only needed to bring ourselves and food. The only downfall was the dryer didn't work, but we used the drying rack for our clothes

Wonderful the neighbors were great nice and clean

Great fun had the grandkids and their friends but it’s a quiet neighborhood maybe not for a lot of kids we had the pool to Ourselves great time to go after Memorial Day lake was almost empty with people

Nice location, water activities near by and perfect weekend getaway! No food at house so bring your coffee/tea, also you have to throw trash to different place (10 mins away) afterwards which was little inconvenient.

Perfect getaway

Highly recommend for an easy stay on Smith Mountain Lake! The condo had everything we needed, the views were spectacular, easy water access, and great neighborhood. I’d recommend bringing heat you need as stores and restaurants are a bit of a drive, but the condo itself was perfect. Our pup loved it too.

First experience at Smith Mountain Lake

The property was nice and the location was fantastic. We had a great time. The home had easy access to the lake. One negative was you had to travel 8 miles one way to get rid of the garbage each day.

Perfect vacation

The house was perfect for our family vacation! Loved the option to bring a rented boat to the boat slip, and the lake was the best backdrop for our family portrait. The house was well stocked with kayaks and life jackets and all things fun for the lake. The house has the little beach directly in front of it which was perfect for my baby granddaughter. We can't wait to come again!

Beautiful House and Views

The beautiful house has a great 3-level design. It feels new and well-cared for. Had everything we needed. The views from all three floors were stunning: wide-open lake views, and manicured lawns.

Wonderful Getaway

This is a lake front house with a beautiful view. It is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. It also came with board games that we enjoyed playing in the evening. The power was out the first day we arrived and it came back around 8:30 pm.

Just steps from the lake!

It was super hard to find a place with lakefront access that was dog-friendly but we found it! Absolutely loved this place. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Easy to check in. We swam in the lake every day with my kid, and kayaked every afternoon. There's a boat slip too, if you have your own boat. There are wineries 15-45 min away and decent restaurant options. State Park is just up the road. Overall great extended-family vacation.
