“Staff is really lovely, breakfast is very well done. Nice grounds but the building itself is looking like it needs some TLC on the exterior and our room (Kyoto) definitely needs updating and particularly a new mattress. Some of the other rooms looked much nicer when we were able to peek in. Overall cleanliness was good. Really nice 24-hour coffee/tea/hot water set up and spacious common rooms downstairs.”

“This is a very old property, which adds to its charm. A tiny winding creaky staircase led to our room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the large walk in shower included a comfortable tile bench, which made my husband wish we had one in our own bath at home. The property is very large with several lovely seating areas, a pond and several lovely flower beds. We enjoyed fireflies, which appeared like fairy lights in the evening.
