“The warm welcome from Dennis and Sarah made us very welcome, nothing to much trouble. Catch word was no problem. Part way through our stay was a change of chef by name of Tom although a young man served us well with good food. Also to Sarah's Grandson Keon who helped keep the tables and the fetching and carrying for the main staff. All in all our stay was vey good. Will come again. Well recomending The Old Railway Hotel Porton”

“Very short notice return from sea and needed to be in Salisbury . . . Found this. Remarkable. Friendly and willing to receive me past usual closing. Still a little raw from refurbishment but warm, comfortable and very clean. The staff are young and enthusiastic and the largely Indian dining and event provision is ambitious. ”
