Great place from the location, amenities, house etc. We have done the inland waterway for the last 20 years. This was probably our favorite place to stay during that time. Would book it again next year.

Great location on the lake.

We truly enjoyed our stay on the lake. The place was completely stocked with supplies for the week and there was plenty of sleeping areas for everyone. Close by stores and restaurants and given a list of other restaurants in the nearby area. The swimming off the dock was great for my grandkids as the water was only a few feet deep.

Great Lakehouse!

This home was exactly what we needed for an extended weekend getaway. The host was always accessible and quick to respond with any questions we had. The home was cozy and located in a great location with a great view of Burt Lake! We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house with everything you need (might need to bring some plastic silverware) and right on a clean lake. We had such a great time, and Joe was very responsive. It is also close to lots of fun things to do. Highly recommend!!

Sunset Cove

This house was perfect for our family. Comfortable with everything we needed. Many nice amenities like super nice sheets and towels. Loved sitting on the deck and looking out on the gorgeous view of Burt Lake. We will be back for sure.

The perfect location! My family of 10 had plenty of room and being right on Burt Lake was a bonus. The owners were quick to respond with anything we needed. We are already talking about next year and can’t wait to stay again!!

Beautiful view

We have stayed at many VRBO’s and this was by far the best equipped especially the kitchen! Two decks and a dock were awesome for a family.Joe was very responsive and was always available!The view from both decks was stunning! We did not want to leave! So close to stores and restaurants too!! Thanks for the memories- we will be back!

Beautiful views of Burt Lake throughout the house

This house has incredible views of Burt Lake from the two main bedrooms and the living room, plus multiple levels of decks. The dock is great as well with chairs and shallow water. There is a small beach area with a bit of sand for kids to play. The house was well stocked and clean. The double full size bunk beds are great for kids! Very close to Vivio’s and the state park for a full beach and small playground. Easy to get to Indian River as well.

Amazing VRBO for relaxing weekend!

Truly had an amazing time at this house, everything was as described in the listing. The view was even better than the pictures! Could spend everyday down on the dock relaxing. Our group didn’t have any kids, but found the space to be exceptionally kid friendly as well. Mostly laid down on the dock with friends and read books and enjoyed the sunshine. Burt lake itself is so beautiful. Hoping to come back again! Really loved it here and would recommend to anyone. Joe was super flexible and wonderful to work with!!

Relaxing and fun!

We arrived at a well kept and clean home that was just like the listing described. We had plenty of space for five of us and it would have been comfortable for up to 14 I would say. There was comfortable sitting in the living room, the kitchen had enough space for three of us to cook, and there was enough outdoor deck space to thoroughly enjoy it and not feel cramped. It was especially great to walk from the deck down to the dock and go for a swim. I had my two kayaks and after maneuvering them down one flight of stairs to the dock, the lake was very accessible and we just beached the kayaks at night. It ended up being very central to many things. We went to Petoskey, we played disc golf nearby, we went for a hike, we went to Mackinac Island, and just enjoyed the whole general area.

My favorite vacation spot.

We have been vacationing in Indian River for years and this is our favorite house. Its so comfortable and the owners really attend to the details. Perfect place to relax on the lake!

Lovely lake house on Burt Lake

We enjoyed our stay at this lakefront home at the south end of Burt Lake. The house is cute & cozy with everything you need for your stay. The location was perfect for everything we want to do. Joe was great to work with. We plan to request rental again in the future!

Perfect Getaway for Families

We LOVE this place!! This rental is perfect for families. It's clean, roomy, comfortable and has everything you need if you decide to cook/grill your meals. The owners are wonderful to work with and easily accessible. We'll be back :)

Beautiful lake but trouble with mice

This house on Burt Lake is a lovely location with great swimming and beautiful views. The house was comfortable with everything that we needed. We did have a couple issues with the rental. We saw a mouse in the house on the fourth day of the trip and contacted the home owner about having it removed. The home owner was not able to get someone to come out until our last day of the stay. We ended up leaving a day early as we continued to see the mouse running through the main living area daily. While this is an "up north " home, it was clear that the mouse could enter at will through the front door crack when closed as well as though the holes in the screen on the deck door. We did not leave the deck or kitchen windows open with screens because there were large holes in both. We also had some issue with arrival times. When asked to switch our rental date from a Saturday arrival to a Friday arrival, we complied. Arrival was set for Friday at 4:00pm. We had nearly completed our travel to the house when the homeowner called to tell us that we would not have entrance until 6:30pm due to cleaning still taking place. This was pretty inconvenient as we had basically arrived already and just had to kill some time until we could get in the house. Overall, a great location but I am disappointed in our experience for the price.

A week with the family on Burt Lake

Our stay at Burt Lake was very relaxing and tranquil. The house was just as described; each room was clean and well suited for our needs. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and supplies. The bedrooms where comfortable and extra linens where provided. The house does have air conditioning ; however, the bunk room was rather warm. A few small fans where provided. The house does have several decks and seating areas outside. They are spacious and comfortable. The steps down to the dock, on the lake, are steep. My elderly parents struggled with the steps as well the lack of hand rails. Our only complaint was the lack of parking. There are 2 parking spots near the house. If you have additional cars, you need to park upon entering the property, at the top of a hill. Our week at the cottage was wonderfully relaxing. The Glanzman's cottage was a beautiful spot to unwind and spend time with those you love. My family and I look forward to another trip to Indian River, in the future.

The Perfect Family Getaway!

We traveled all the way from CT for this family retreat and it was absolutely worth the trip! The home was better than expected, very clean, neat and updated furnishings. The outside property is so inviting, the upper deck for reading/eating or just chilling. The dock & water was enjoyed all week with swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and watching sunsets. Owners are incredibly easy to work with and communication was very clear with the check in/check out process. It only allows for 5 stars but our family would give it 10! Thanks for the relaxing family vacation!

Great house! Great location!

We had a wonderful stay at this property on the lake. The house was clean and comfortable and the outside deck and dock were perfect. The house was very well equipped, too. Pretty much anything we needed was already there. In fact, we typically bring some kitchenware ourselves when renting but didn't have to here at all. I would stay again with zero argument. :)

Fantastic lakefront rental for summer vacation!

WOW! Awesome lake house with spectacular views of Burt Lake. The house had everything we everything we needed and more. Our family of 10 had a great time. The hard sandy bottom and clean water of Burt Lake was wonderful. We had seven nights of lovely sunsets. House was clean, comfortable and basically spoiled us for the week! Owners thought of everything one would need. Loved all the hooks to hangs things (yes it’s the little things that count). Large decks and docks were great for lounging and dining. Awesome location - close to Indian River town and waterway. Highly recommend and definitely plan to return.

Great Home - Will be Back!!

We stayed for a long weekend and wanted to extend for even longer! The home was exactly as described and in brand new condition - Joe the owner was super responsive and very easy to work with. One, if not the best, rental we've had on VRBO in Northern Michigan! Water was very clear, wind picked up each afternoon, but with the water so shallow wasn't an issue at all. Thanks for allowing us to use your home!

Book This Place -- You Won't Be Disappointed

This place is the perfect up north cabin-in-the-woods with beautiful Burt Lake frontage. The house sits at the bottom of a steep hill tucked into the woods. The house was well appointed, comfortable, and perfect for our two families (four adults, and three kids). The lake in front of the house has a sandy bottom and stays 2-3 feet deep for a long way. (The neighbors said the sand “bar” went out for a 1,000 feet.) It is conveniently located close to town via car, and the Indian River via boat. I’m already missing having my morning coffee on the deck.
