“After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. ”

“No había agua caliente por lo que no nos pudimos bañar y quitarnos el frío. Llegamos a estar a 2° y sin podernos bañar. Nos explicaron que por ser un hotel tan viejo las calderas no funcionan bien.”

“Situado en un entorno rural con la planta baja (zonas de restaurante y de bar con chimenea) bonita, la habitación doble ("Honeybarrel") con baño no llegó a cumplir nuestras expectativas ni el nivel alto que el establecimiento tiene como objetivo. Ambos eran sobre todo muy pequeños y carecían de armarios (teníamos que dejar el equipaje en el pasillo detrás de la puerta de la habitación y una maleta en el coche). La escalera a la primera planta incómoda. El personal amable.”

“We were in room 12 which was lovely and warm as always, love the shower in the Bathroom power shower ample hot water, and nice comfy bed, this wasn't our first stay there as, we love the friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful, great views especially from the resturant with it's picture windows looking out onto the North Sea. Looking foward to our stay later in the year again, might opt for one of the sea view rooms which are slightly bigger in size. A cooked breakfast is included or...
