“The property is very nice and well situated in town. Breakfast was nice and the bar next door was fun. While I understand it is old and maybe difficult to handle certain aspects, the musty smell and apparent mold in the bathroom was unpleasant. However maybe this isn’t the case in the newer rooms.”

Details we felt would have made our stay more comfortable: more than two hangers, a dresser or place to hold 2nd suitcase items. More than just 2 bath, 2 wash cloths, and 2 hand towels in the room. “We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Our king room on the first floor was very comfortable, spotless, had a large bathroom, and even a little back deck. The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team. “Stayed at Hoyt House in early April. Weather was lousy. Everything else was great. Location is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores of Fernandino Beach. Everything in the Inn was in top shape, and a lot of thought clearly went into making the guests comfortable. Umbrellas when it rained. A glass of wine in the afternoon. Plenty of places to sit witha book or other activity. ”
