“When we arrived to the hotel, they informed us there was a storm and they lost power. That is understandable, however they provided no alternative or directions on where we could sleep that night. They only said they were closed and couldn't support or help us in any way. We had driven 3 hours from Edimburgh and had to find another hotel in the middle of the night with very limit knowledge of the area and very poor international phone internet, sitting in a parking lot. A bit out of the way but beautifully set behind a gorgeous loch (lake) so plan on a car or about $120 in cab fare (6 trips) . Breakfast and dinner were delicious but unless you book with breakfast it’s extra. Well worth the extra travel.”
