“My husband, son's girlfriend and I stayed in The Nest when our son was in town playing baseball against Lamar University. This house was a great alternative to a hotel. It was cute, clean and well stocked. The owner had great communication and left some special touches in the home for us. The only negative is the size of the beds if you have more than 2 adults. I bought a $30 air mattress and took sheets from home. That worked fine for us. I recommend this house if you are going to be visiting...

“My crew enjoyed the location and their overall stay at this location, which I am very thankful for. However, their communication could use a little work. I believe the host is in a different time zone, but we did not receive the lock code until almost an hour after arriving that evening and I had to reach out to customer service in order to get a hold of him.”

“A hidden gem for the serious fisherman. This location is perfect for a small/large boat - fresh/salt water fishing. You can moor your boat in the back yard; no need to load and unload your boat daily. Boat ramp within walking distance. The small neighborhood has some of the most friendly and helpful people around. “The pictures made it seem that it was a beautiful place. The sliding doors did not have any handles, tissue was placed because where the handles are supposed to be it was exposed to the outdoors. The place was not clean and up to par. No oven, but it was a countertop oven that we used. The bugs were ridiculous, they were coming in from the outside through the cracks .”
