Fun in the sun at IOP

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Isle of palms is where we enjoy visiting. The location is great if you like to ho out to eat in Charleston. We timed our trip before the beach replenish starts but still had beach access. The location of this condo is perfect. The condo needs some minor repairs but overall was good for a few days. The kitchen is stocked well. Overall, it was clean and beds were comfortable. All cloth furniture is stained. The door to the patio needs replacing. My mother injured her hand opening. The dryer needs replacing. The master bath dirs not drain so we dud not use it.

Was disappointed with the maintenance of the unit in general - broken handle on the screen door, front door could use a scrape and repaint, and sliding glass doors are difficult to open and close. Also had to call in housekeeping to mop the floors and change some unacceptable linens. The overall complex, however, was nice and convenient to weekend plans. Would return to the complex, but probably not the unit.

Family trip

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The property is in the perfect location and we enjoyed sitting gin the balcony and being able to see both the ocean and the pool. There were a couple of leaks that we had to call maintenance for, but they were quickly fixed.

Home away from home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been coming to to MW for many summers and consider it our home away from home. Always clean, plenty of room, wonderful pool, great beach spot, and perfect amount of access to restaurants and activities. Island Realty is the only one we trust with our vacation.

living room tv, sliding door, upstairs bathroom toilet, shower door, microwave not working properly. TVs small and difficult to see. Unkempt bedroom under upstairs bed. liked where the unit was.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had higher expectations for rental given price and location on Isle of Palms. Patio door needs replaced. Deck furniture is plastic and has no umbrella. Living room furniture is old and pillows were dirty.

Great location, but not the cleanest condo

Location in Wild Dunes was wonderful. Can see ocean from back patio. Pool is right behind condo and beach was a short walk away as well. Was there on a girls trip so we weren’t in the condo too much. Condo had everything you’d need for a long weekend stay but definitely wasn’t the cleanest. Can’t beat the location - would have been a 5 star review if place was cleaner.

Fall Beach getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mariners walk 4D was very spacious. Actually more than what we needed for my husband and myself. We wanted a getaway during my chemotherapy break and chose this lovely oceanfront complex. It was clean but need some updates particularly in the bathrooms. The kitchen really needed better pots and pans and utensils for those that cook in some during vacation. The pool is convenient and quiet. Our unit was on the second floor and therefore we had 3 flights of steps to the front door and then the master bedroom was on the second floor. Exhausting for me and also for my husband when carrying luggage and groceries and coolers. There was no cable tv in the unit and Netflix would not stay connected. Thankfully I took my laptop and an hdmi cable or we would not have been able to watch our shows at night.

Very neglected

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are a college student with very low expectations then this is the place for you. It began when I opened the screen door and saw the rusted, paint peeled sad front door. When I entered it appeared to be very sparsely decorated with cheap furniture. The glass dining room table was full of scratches and I immediately put a blanket on the couch because I didn’t want to sit on it The blanket I retrieved from the closet had a huge round stain at least 10 inches wide. The paint was peeling of the walls and the base boards, the sliding glass door to the patio was so hard to open and loud, which brought you out to the patio with the hardest plastic chairs and table. I know we had to bring our own amenities, but there wasn’t even so much as a salt shaker there. The neighbor next door was renovating and the hammering lasted most of the work day. Other than that the location was very nice and the beds were comfortable.

The unit needs an upgrade. The smoke detectors were not attached when we arrived. Every room was missing light bulbs. The pull cords were broken off the fans in all bedrooms. The porch light was out. The light above the stairs was burnt out making it hard for my elderly parents to see coming down the stairs at night. The shower door in the master was not attached at the bottom. One bedroom TV was broken. The main TV in the living room had black lines running up and down in the middle of the screen. The balcony slider door was broken. It was very difficult to open and close the door. There were also many spots where the ceiling was peeling. It looked as though a there had been a leak but was never repaired. The dryer door hinge was broken. Making it hard for the door to close. You had to lift the door and close it just right for the dryer to be used. The AC was not working as it should and was incredibly humid inside the unit. We contacted maintenence. They sent 2 repair men out and also a house representative. They replaced the light bulbs and fixed the hall light. We were told she would look into some sort of compensation for all of the issues reported. We have not heard back from her. This is my first time renting through Island Reality. It was not a pleasant experience.

All about the location

Reviewer Comments: i cannot gush enough about how beautiful the ocean view was and the pool area- the community was safe and well keptThe condo itself needed some TLC. The kitchen sink smelled and caused the whole first floor to smell like rotting fish the duration of our stay. There were roaches that properly gave me the creeps- two on patio and a dead roach behind the TV. The bed, sofa and chairs were uncomfortable and the living room furniture just looked quite dirty. Overall it was all about the location. the actual condo needs help

Picture above couch had child’s fingerprints which were very visible. We did enjoy the view from our porch and the pool was very nice. Lots of chairs.

Didn’t particularly like walking up the stairs to the condo and also had stairs inside to 2 bedrooms. Having a washer and dryer were a nice feature. Kitchen was well supplied. However, pots and pans should be replaced..quite scratched. Would like plastic glassware especially for children. Plenty of seating but furnishings were older and soiled.

There is evidence of water damage around the sky light, several places in the floors, and even mold around the electrical outlets. The roof leaked onto our bed during our stay for the majority of the week. The rental company was wonderful and very prompt to get someone out to try and fix the problem. We were just very disappointed with the condition of this unit considering the price to rent it.

Pros - spacious 2nd floor unit with nice views, 3 full bathrooms, Mariners Walk has a nice pool, property backs up to beach, and pricing was competitive. Cons - updates are needed, some paint is flaking off of the ceiling (which is likely why price was lower).

The only downside we had was we had very little cell phone reception. We will definitely recommend Mariner’s Walk to others.
