  • Why keep dreaming of the perfect island vacation, when you can experience it firsthand at 401 Yacht Harbor at Wild Dunes? This wonderful, two-bedroom, two-bath vacation destination is in one of only two condominium properties located on Morgan’s Creek. Yacht Harbor Condominiums are unique, featuring a large screen porch, beautiful views of the marina, an exclusive swimming pool on Morgan’s Creek, and a quick walk to the Isle of Palms Marina where your family will find two outstanding restaurants, kayak tours/rentals, boat rentals, and our favorite the Barrier Island Eco Tour. If you are heading to the beach, it is an easy bike ride along paved paths lined with ancient oaks.

    401 Yacht Harbor is well-appointed and is the perfect vacation getaway. The floor plan is light-filled and open spaces with nice details, such as hardwood floors, granite counters, and stainless appliances. A dining area adjoins the living room and kitchen with glass doors opening to the private screen porch--a great set-up for your family to gather after a fun beach day. The large master bedroom, featuring a king bed, also accesses the screen porch and has a private bath. The guest bedroom is also spacious. It features a queen bed and has a private bath.

    Ideally located, 401 Yacht Harbor is on the Isle of Palms making it an easy drive to Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant and Historic Charleston. Sullivan’s Island (2.2 miles) features Fort Moultrie and wonderful dining options along Middle Street. In Mount Pleasant (4.2 miles), your family will want to visit Boone Hall Plantation with its avenue of oaks, the USS Yorktown, Town Center shopping and the restaurants lining the shrimp docks on Shem Creek. Finally, Historic Charleston (12.4 miles) is the number one tourism destination in the United States, and offers some of the world’s finest restaurants, galleries, historic homes, and gardens.

    Additional Amenities Include:

    *Home Truths:*
    - You must be 25 years or older to book this home.
    - Please note that Early Check-In (ECI) and Late Check-Out (LCO) services are not available from May to September.
    - Guests must supply their own beach/pool towels.
    - Beach chairs/toys are not included at this property. All reservations between 4-28 nights come with a $250 beach gear credit with VaykGear.com. Guests will be able to reserve gear after booking.
    - The Yacht Harbor pool is open May-September The pool is not heated. The hot tub is closed until winter 2025.
    - Unfortunately, pets and ESAs are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed animals are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval, there is a fine of $500 per pet.
    - Fireplaces are not for guest use.
    - Trailers and motorcycles are not allowed inside Wild Dunes.
    - Guests have access to the Yacht Harbor pool, and to the cafes and restaurants at Wild Dunes. Any other amenities or recreation at Wild Dunes, including golf, tennis or the spa, must be booked separately.
    - Please note that due to natural coastal conditions, beach areas may experience periodic erosion that can affect shoreline size and accessibility. During periods of high tide, portions of the beach—or the entire beach—may be temporarily inaccessible. We are not able to guarantee identical beach conditions for future stays, and refunds or relocations will not be available due to these natural changes.
    - While we do our best to communicate any known work within Wild Dunes or nearby beach projects, many homes are privately owned and we are not always notified of surrounding activity. As a result, we are unable to guarantee a disruption-free environment or offer relocation for any unforeseen construction.

    *Parking Details:*
    - There are 2 parking spaces available.
    - To gain access to Wild Dunes, the guest will need a car pass. Passes will be emailed to the guest before their arrival.

    This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

    As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

    Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

    There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff.

    We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

    As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

    IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.

    We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

Weekend in the Dunes

We were very happy with the accommodations. Amenities often needed at short notice were supplied, rather than having to run to the store. Very pleasant screened-in porch was quiet and enjoyable to sit out at night to chat

Not bad overall, but we encountered several frustrating problems

Given wrong passcode for the front door, but that was sorted out in 15mins. Not desirable after a 9 hr drive. Only 1 parking spot due to a golf cart (unable to use) parked under the covered parking spot that was not shown in pictures. Salt water pool was enjoyable but needed to be cleaned. Washer and dryer are small and dated. Dryer did not function properly. No remote for the tv in the master bedroom. Master bathroom caulking around tub looks like its starting to grow mold. Overall not bad but those things add up and become frustrating
