We just spent four weeks at this property. Great location and well equipped house, including kitchen items for cooking and consuming. Host was very responsive on any questions we had during our stay. Beds super comfortable with nice bedding. Deck was an excellent place to hang out in sun or shade with space and comfortable furniture. You can see and hear the ocean from the deck, which was really nice. Short walk to the community recreation center if you are looking for a fitness room or lap swimming pool.

Starting with the incredible view from the back deck straight out to the ocean waves, then inside to the super comfortable beds this place was great. Gracious host helped me with multiple changes in my plans, made everything seamless. Highly recommend if you love the beach and the sounds of waves washing ashore!

Great location, communication, and accommodating. Clear beach view from the deck to enjoy sunrises and the ocean view all day. A direct path through the dune to the beach for easy access (even lighted). Close to Fort Clinch State Park, Historic Fernandina Beach downtown, and an easy drive to anything you need. Much of the deck has been recently replaced, and the gated entryway was wonderful for our dogs to easily enjoy being outside. We all found the beds comfortable with plenty of pillows, a big plus (as the pictures show the beds are tall, so they might be harder for some to get in and out). The individual climate control in each room is great for those who are traveling with people who enjoy different sleeping temperatures. Plenty of towels and laundry supplies available (trash bags as well). The hosts were responsive and accommodating to inquiries and requests prior to booking and throughout. The weather on our check-in day canceled our plans for the day. When we inquired about an early check-in, since the property was ready, they were more than accommodating and saved the first day of our trip from being a total washout!

Location of this house was perfect. We rented both upstairs and downstairs since we needed 6 sleeping areas. We arrived early evening and went to sit on the deck and relax but the couch outside was broken on both ends.At bedtime went to pull out the sleeper couches - one still had on a dirty sheet with food and dirt all over it and the other had a mattress that was nasty. There were no pillows or blankets for the pullout beds. Texted the management company who responded later that night they'd send over a cleaning crew if I wanted, ignored the outside couch issue. Too late for cleaning since we had done it ourselves.The space is very tight (pictures not current) but there is no way that this place could accommodate 12 people - four maximum on each level. The downstairs didn't have a table/chairs and the kitchen was barely equipped. The upstairs kitchen was well equipped and had a table that seated 4. Trying to feed seven of us at one time simply wasn't going to happen at a table and rain made outside not an option. The lock on the upstairs unit fell apart late one morning when we got back to the house and the maintenance company said that was normal and they'd send someone over. No one came so we were unable to lock it.Basic amenities such as shampoo, soap, coffee, etc were missing. Appliances were good; beds were comfortable but most everything else needs replacing. Grill was nasty so we couldn't use that either.

Paradise

The property was easy to find and located as advertised. Being a dune away from the ocean was wonderful. At night you could not only see the ocean, but you could also hear the waves. It was so peaceful and calming out on the deck. The facility was as advertised with clean sheets and towels. There were no bugs noted on the property. Parking was well suited for three cars. All appliances were in good working order. The location, including the proximity to the beach and to the downtown was excellent. Fort Clinch State Park is also a short walk or bike ride away.The beach was not crowded and it was also very clean. I would encourage people to stay at this property for it is really a wonderful experience.

Beautiful and tranquil beachside getaway!

We absolutely loved this beach house! Hard to find but we waved down instacart and Uber eats drivers! This place was absolutely perfect for our needs and had beautiful sunrises from our deck while drinking coffee in our pj’s! Walking distance to the Sandbar restaurant which we loved also and minutes by car to everywhere else! We will be back!

Great Location .. Basic Maintenance Neglected

Location is Great: right on the beach, at north end of island, close to Ft Clinch and close to town.Living Room furniture is comfortable and attractive. Internet and TV work well.Maintenance Issues: slider to deck is virtually opaque from broken seal, needs to be replaced; grill is unusable, needs to be replaced; heating/cooling units are poorly mounted, transmitting very loud vibrations into master bedroom.Despite these deficiencies, we enjoyed our stay. With a little TLC this property could be awesome.

Fine property, strange experience

The property is very comfortable and a great location. When we arrived, we noticed the door was unlocked and upon closer inspection, realized the sliding (and ONLY) door didn’t have a lock at all. We contacted the owner and were told that the handle was broken 2 days prior, and they “did their best” to replace the handle, but acknowledged that they knew the door wouldn’t lock from the outside. I let them know the door also did not lock from the inside, and they literally told me to look for a stick to jam in the door. Wildly unacceptable, and since the upstairs couldn’t be secured, our choices were to only use the downstairs or not leave the property the entire vacation. A very bizarre experience. The home itself, assuming they fixed the door, is lovely, but the unprofessionalism was truly shocking.

Okay for the Most Part

Be prepared for very close quarters. It’s smaller than we imagined, and we were prepared for small. Updates inside are nice, and yes, the outside needs some TLC. I would have liked the interior to be tad cleaner when we arrived, but basically it was okay. Being on the beach, you can’t beat the location. However, I would opt for larger and newer on the other side of the street next time—especially with small children. This property would be best for two couples or families with older kids. I will say, however, the host was very responsive when we reached out.
