We had a lovely and peaceful stay at the Sandcastles condo in Amelia Island. The property was very quiet, clean, and felt safe throughout our visit. One of the highlights was the serene balconies—perfect for morning coffee and morning dolphin watching! We also enjoyed spotting the gopher turtles roaming the grounds. The condo layout worked great for our group, especially with the double balconies that offered added privacy between rooms. The pool was clean, decent sized, and never felt overcrowded. The beachfront was a very short walk and easy to access. The nearby Omni Plantation area had a nice selection of shops and restaurants within walking or biking distance. While we’d suggest skipping the dining options at the Omni itself, we highly recommend grabbing pizza at Mellow Yellow in the Centre, and don’t miss DeNucci’s ice cream if you head into town. There's also plenty to do nearby—putt-putt, nature trails, and more. Highly recommend Huguenot Memorial Park/Beach about 10 minutes south. It's beautiful and at low tide there are sandbars as far as the eye can see. This was our favorite swimming spot. Our only suggestion would be for the owners to update a few of the kitchen amenities—there was no proper knife for cutting watermelon, and the blender base was there but missing the pitcher.Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely consider staying here again!
