“Everything in the room was spotless as in the bathroom. However the bathroom would be even better with some hooks on the wall as there was nowhere to hang one’s toilet bag or dressing gown.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Stanwell House Hotel. The staff are excellent, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 32, which was perfectly cosy with a very comfortable bed and offered lovely views. The breakfast was great—high quality and plenty of choice. My only minor note is that drinks can be quite expensive at the bar. Highly recommended for a boutique stay in Lymington!”

“Lovely little place with nice ambience in a nice location. The breakfast and choices included in the price was great. My only one suggestion is re the sofa bed - matress is really not comfortable and too thin. Maybe at the very least a mattress topper could be used if the whole mattress cant be changed.”

You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! ”

“The property was a great location close to the harbour and forest. Set near a river the evenings were perfect sitting out having a drink. The rooms are located away from the restaurant/pub so it is good when she wants to go to bed. Had a really nice day. We will definitely come back.”

“We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Avalon B&B. Nick was a superb host and the property as a whole was very clean and tidy. The rooms had everything we needed for our short stay and the breakfast options were great. The full English breakfast Nick cooked on our 2nd morning was the ideal start to the day for our long drive back up to Manchester. The town with restaurants, bars and shops is only a 4/5 min walk with the New Forrest also close by. All in all a great place to stay and would highly...

“This is a 15th Century building with the stable block converted into accommodation. The room we occupied was very large with all the usual amenities, pristine clean with a huge comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was comprehensive as was the dinner menu. My only suggestion is that a help yourself coffee and tea facility would enhance its facilities.Excellent hotel at the price.”
