The Space:

Bright, open interiors and a playful outdoor setting give Moon Dusk a relaxed, welcoming personality. Vaulted ceilings and polished concrete floors create an airy backdrop for light oak cabinetry, soft neutral furnishings, and a rich blue dining wall. The open layout makes it easy to spend time together, whether you're preparing a meal, watching a movie, or gathering around the dining table. Beyond the main living spaces, a separate garage game room and a split bedroom layout give everyone a little room to follow their own rhythm.

As the light begins to change, head for the hot tub and take in the mountains beyond the fence. The open desert sky makes evenings outside especially appealing, whether you're soaking, sharing a conversation, or simply enjoying the quiet after a full day.

Inside, the living room feels fresh and comfortable, with a soft sectional, natural wood accents, and understated artwork that complements the home's modern desert style. Vaulted ceilings give the space an expansive feel, while the open connection to the kitchen and dining area keeps everyone together without feeling crowded.



Settle in for a movie on the smart TV, catch up over coffee, or relax on the sofa while someone gets dinner started nearby. Large windows bring in natural light, making the space equally inviting for an easy morning or a quiet evening indoors.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The kitchen is a particularly welcoming part of the home, with custom light oak cabinetry, quartz countertops, and Café appliances. A spacious island with seating for four creates an easy gathering spot for morning coffee, casual breakfasts, or keeping the cook company.



You'll find the essentials for preparing meals, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, cookware, and dishes. The adjacent dining area features a wood table, woven-seat chairs, and a striking blue accent wall that adds warmth and character to the otherwise neutral interiors.



For a change of scenery, take your meal outside to the covered patio and enjoy the desert air.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Moon Dusk comfortably accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The split floor plan places the primary bedroom toward the back of the home, with the two additional bedrooms at the front, offering a comfortable arrangement for families or friends traveling together.



The primary bedroom features a king bed, soft neutral bedding, a ceiling fan, and a smart TV. An armchair beside the window offers a quiet spot to read or enjoy a few moments to yourself.



The second bedroom has a queen bed, warm natural furnishings, and framed abstract artwork for a clean, calming feel. The third bedroom also features a queen bed, with textured macramé wall art, soft layered bedding, and its own smart TV.



Both bathrooms feature tiled showers and modern fixtures. A separate laundry room with a washer and dryer makes longer stays and post-hike laundry especially convenient.



-Garage Game Room-

When it's time for a little competition, head into the garage game room. A pool table takes center stage, with a couch and hanging chairs providing places to relax between turns.



It's a casual hangout that gives the group another place to gather, whether you're playing a few rounds after dinner or spending an afternoon at home.



With plenty to enjoy on the property and downtown Joshua Tree and the national park available for outings, Moon Dusk makes it easy to balance exploring the desert with enjoying time together at home.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



A keypad at the front door provides keyless entry; your personal entry code and check-in instructions will be sent 3 days before arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Moon Dusk is in Joshua Tree, a short drive from downtown and the national park, on paved roads with cell coverage.



Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



The drive is simple, flat and paved the whole way. Up to 3 cars can park on the pavement in front and inside the garage, and an RV can park in the driveway. No street parking, please.



Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Moon Dusk is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. Cowboy tubs are drained and unavailable during winter months (November through March) to prevent freeze-related equipment damage.



-Hot Tub and Cowboy Tub Rules-

Please rinse off lotions and oils before and after using the hot tub or cowboy tub, keep the hot tub lid on to keep out dirt and hold the heat, and dispose of trash properly. No glass by any water. An additional fee may be charged for excessive dirtiness.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

We have hot tub and cowboy tub cleanings twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, and these days may fall during your stay.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there is one Ring floodlight camera at the front of the house. There are no cameras inside the home.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage is available at the property, though reception can vary by carrier.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
