Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the home + private property. Only registered guests are permitted unless pre-approved.



The Neighborhood:

Orion Major offers unparalleled access to the National Park while being just a 5-minute drive from the quirky culture of Joshua Tree Village.

◎ Joshua Tree National Park Entrance – 1 minute

◎ Joshua Tree Village (Dining & Shops) – 5 minutes

◎ Pioneertown & Pappy & Harriet’s – 20 minutes

◎ Yucca Valley (Major Supermarkets) – 25 minutes

◎ Palm Springs – 50 minutes



Getting Around:

This is a remote location accessed via unpaved roads, so please drive slowly and carefully. While a car is necessary to get around, a four-wheel drive vehicle is not required, but be aware that the roads may have ruts, particularly after rainfall.



Other Things to Note:

◎ POOL AND HOT TUB HEATING:

The hot tub is always free to heat. However, during the cooler months, there are extra charges for pool heating, see below. If you want the pool heated during these months, please let us know 48 hours before you arrive.

◎ Extra Charges for Pool Heating:

✓ May, September: $150 per night

✓ October, April: $200 per night

✓ November, March: $350 per night

✓ December, January, and February: Pool heating not available



No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area. No glass can be around the pool and hot tub, there are plastic cups in the kitchen to be used outside. Please mind the quiet hours (no loud noises after 10pm). No intoxicated persons may use the pool or hot tub. NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.



◎ EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.



◎ DOGS: Dogs are welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Maximum of 2 Dogs allowed. No other types of animals are authorized.



◎ SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us!



◎ ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain



◎ CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.
