“Nicely remodeled place, very comfortable with reclining couch, plush bed and nice touches throughout. Walk in shower was a nice addition as well. They did a nice job updating the place and keeping the historic charm. The steps to the loft were a bit daunting, but they did all they could to work with the historic building to make them easier to navigate. ”

“I will start by saying the front porch could use a little refresh and cleaning. That's the reason for a 4 on cleanliness. Inside was awesome so don't let the porch issue stop you. Inside is clean and neat. All the comforts of home. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Great attention to detail and we loved our stay. Be mindful of the road outside of the unit as it's one way around a curve and people tend to fly around the corner.”

“The Palmer House is well situated close to downtown in Baker City. It's host is very thoughtful (even gave us homemade bread upon arrival) about providing a comfortable, cozy environment. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a lot of attention to details such as colorful tile work, clean paint, artwork, and a wonderful backyard to enjoy when the weather is good. We would definitely stay here again!”

“I never leave negative reviews. I will make an exception. We were really disappointed in this place. No one works at this motel. When you arrive, you call a phone number and if someone answers the call, they give you a four digit code to unlock the door. Our code did not work. It took the guy who answers the phone 30 minutes to override the system. He lives 90 minutes away. We were nervous to leave for dinner for fear of not getting back in the room. So we left the door partially open when we...
