Come & stay with us at the beautiful & peaceful Bird's Nest

  • The Bird's Nest está ubicado en un vecindario tranquilo rodeado de exuberante vegetación y se pueden escuchar cantos de aves durante todo el día y ranas arborícolas por la noche. La casa se encuentra en lo alto del suelo, lo que hace que te sientas como si estuvieras en una casa en un árbol. El camino en frente de la casa está pavimentado y disponible para pasear o correr. Estamos ubicados a aproximadamente 4 millas de un par de hermosas caminatas a una playa de arena blanca y negra o piscinas de marea.

    Estamos ubicados a unos 15 minutos de Hilo, a 5 millas de Pahoa y a 4 millas de los acantilados del océano y el mar para caminar. El Parque Nacional Volcano está a unos 30 minutos en automóvil y estamos a aproximadamente 1 hora y media en automóvil por Saddle Road hasta las playas de arena blanca.

The Birds Nest was a great stay. The check-in process was seamless and due to our late arrival, the hosts were very gracious and left lights on AND sourdough muffins. The home is clean, very inviting and great combo of in and outdoor spaces.

I had a very short stay at the Birds Nest - but and I loved it. The space was soothing and lovely, private and very very clean. It’s in a great location to get everywhere. And thoughtfully designed! Loved the big sprawling deck in the back! I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Bird’s Nest! Location was very convenient, communication was great, and we really enjoyed everything the home offered from the well stocked kitchenware for cooking, the relaxing deck, comfortable beds and nice shower/bathroom. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay!

Highly recommend the Bird's Nest as accommodations for exploring both Volcanoes National Park and the Hilo area. The property interior is beautifully updated, spacious and very clean, with all the equipment needed to cook all your meals. Location is quiet, peaceful and safe. The host is very responsive and has her own micro-bakery - providing guests with a yummy sampling and seasonally available fruits grown on the property.

Bird's Nest in Paradise

We had a wonderful stay at the Bird's Nest! It is a clean, comfortable, welcoming home in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen, playing board games in the evening and falling asleep to the sounds of nature Khym is an amazing host! We would definitely stay again.

cosy and well-run

The Bird's Nest is as cosy as its name implies. It's also quiet, well-located, and well-run by thoughtful hosts who have provided almost everything you might need. It's one of the few places I've stayed with a superior kitchen-- in case you want to cook some of those lovely purchases from the local Sunday farmer's market. I would gladly stay there again, and I plan to!

Khymberly was very accommodating to our large family size. Everything was neat and clean upon our arrival. Beach chairs and accessories were provided for use, which we found very helpful. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Khym also bakes sourdough bread and other delicious goods for sale, fresh and convenient!

Peaceful stay!

We loved this house and property. We were visiting our brand new granddaughter and it was so nice to have a place to stay that felt like home. The house was stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoying stay. Mahalo!

So comfortable and quiet

This is our second time at this property and we will stay again next year. Clean , comfortable, quiet. Well appointed, very local. Host is top notch.

Beautiful Property, Excellent Experience

We enjoyed our stay at The Bird’s Nest. The property is spacious, clean and well equipped. It was a perfect place to hangout. Check in was easy and the hosts provided a plate of fresh fruit which was much appreciated as our flights to the Island arrived late in the evening. There’s so much to explore on the Big Island and it was great to relax here at the end of the day. Highly recommended this property.

Clean, Cozy & Comfortable Stay

This has been our 2nd stay here and we really enjoyed stay again. House has a very nice layout. Has everything we needed for our visit. Quiet Neighborhood. Great Host, even left a basket of fresh fruit for us upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a place to stay. Thank you so much!

Unique and comforting place to stay

We stayed at the Bird’s nest for three days. The house is decorated well, feels like home. I really like the scented fresh flower in the bathroom. All rooms are clean with all the appliances we needed. We had great stay there surrounded by the tree frogs’ songs.

Pleasant stay

We had a very good relaxing time. Khym was very nice. There was construction next door and she was willing to halt it during our stay, so we could 'hang out' in peace. Thank you!

The Bird House was comfortable and felt like coming home. The fresh breeze kept the house cool without an A/C so you have to leave the windows open all the time. The birds can be a bit noisy in the morning and wake you up a bit early if you’re light sleepers like us, but earplugs are provided ( I saw some under the bathroom sink). We brought our own earplugs. The location was perfect for us visiting Volcano and Hilo. The beds were comfortable although the sofa cushions in the living room are a bit worn and troubled my sciatica. The bathrooms were updated and spacious but the second one was inconvenient at times being on the ground floor. Overall the place was great and clean and we would definitely recommend it to people.

Great property in HPP!

Khymberly's property was just right for us. We liked being raised up on a 2nd floor level. The grounds were wonderful and the wildlife entertaining. Close to the Puna trail to Shipman's beach and other attractions in the area. A relatively short drive to Hilo as well. The beds were comfy, the amenities just right and a wonderful base camp. Recommended!

Another wonderful stay at The Bird's Nest

We have stayed at The Nest several times now and everything is always great, the communication with owners, the comfortable home, cleanliness, quite neighbor with a peaceful deck. We also appreciated the upgraded TV. Mahalo! Don and Janet

Hilo side near Puna

We very much enjoyed our stay at the "Birds Nest". We were serenaded by birds, frogs, and crickets overnight and the occasional rooster in the morning. The home is furnished nicely and is well set up for a small family or 2 couples traveling together. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need and they have many staples available for you to use. The grounds are very pretty and the outdoor space is very usable. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at the Bird’s Nest!

This beautiful vacation home was perfect for our family. Our two young children enjoyed searching for lizards and exploring the private yard. We enjoyed peaceful mornings and evenings on the patio. The house is equipped with all you need for your stay and is comfortable and inviting. Access to East side of the island was great. Communication with the hosts was great. We highly recommend the Bird’s Nest and will stay here again in our next visit to the Big Island.

Great home base for sightseeing

This house was perfect for our needs and had everything we as a family of two adults and two small kids could ask for. The house was very clean and even had beach equipment and a washer and dryer. In addition to the great amenities, the house was close enough to all the things we wanted to see (volcanos, waterfalls, etc). Such a great experience. Thank you!!

Your in HAWAII …enjoy!!

Enjoyed our stay and it was a great location. Had great weather in the month of January. Khym is a great hostess and goes out of her way to answer your questions very quickly. They live next door but give you complete privacy. Keep the windows closed at night and you don’t hear the frogs. Thanks Khym for everything and we wish you and your husband all the best in the future. Aloha
