Stunning Ocean Views - Whale House Hawaii

  • The Whale House tiene un enorme lanai envolvente que ofrece impresionantes vistas al océano y al jardín. Esta casa de 1820 pies cuadrados incluye una cocina de tamaño completo con lavaplatos. Dos Master Suites idénticas se encuentran en el segundo piso, cada una con cómodas camas king y baño privado. Hay dos dormitorios adicionales en la planta baja (cada uno con una cama king). Las dos habitaciones de la planta baja comparten un baño (ubicado en la habitación con cama con vista al jardín). El acceso al piso principal (2º) desde la planta baja es a través de las dos escaleras exteriores. The Whale House también tiene una ducha cerrada de bambú al aire libre para eliminar el estrés del día. Tenemos palmas de coco fructíferas, papayas, plátanos y piñas en la exuberante propiedad de medio acre.

    Para su disfrute, bicicletas, una gran barbacoa de gas, refrigeradores, tablas de surf, equipo de snorkel, una hamaca y binoculares se proporcionan de forma gratuita para que disfrute de los senderos, los vecindarios y todo lo que la gran isla tiene para ofrecer. We loved our stay at the whale house! Property was clean, beautifully decorated and we enjoyed exploring the grounds in front of and behind the property. When we had to reach out to David he was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We planned our stay at the Whale House to explore Hilo and Volcano Park and we hope to be back again someday!

We loved the whale house with its great lanai, view, and water access. A lot of time and attention was spent on this property with a unique garden and probably the best equipped VRBO I’ve stayed in. We enjoyed it very much and would happily stay again!

The property is in an amazing location outside of Hilo. It is surrounded by amazing gardens with the ocean across the street. The street the house is on is quiet. The host offers a lot of amenities for spending time at the beach or bike riding. It is a beautiful property and we would stay there again if we come back to Hilo.

The Whale House is beautiful!

This is the fourth year that my friends and I have vacationed at The Whale House, and we've enjoyed every visit.

Our stay was wonderful. A nice relaxing stay. The grounds are beautiful. Air conditioning is only in the bottom half of the house. The house was very comfortable. My only suggestion is to bring purified water for the coffee maker. We were unable to make coffee the first evening and next morning until we bought some. One of the nicest VRBO properties I have stayed in. Thank you!

We fell in love with this home and property! It’s even better than the pictures! It was also very clean and organized. The hosts left lots of information and details for restaurants, activities, and anything else you may need. The neighborhood also felt very safe. We would definitely stay again! We did not want to leave.

Excellent Visit at the Whale House

We had an excellent visit at the Whale house. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck with a stunning view of the ocean, every morning. The house was clean, hosts were prompt in responding and the location was beautiful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Family Vacation 2025

Beautiful property! Wishing we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed Hilo, the Volcanoes and the Black Sand Beach. The kids learned to snorkel using the equipment available at the house and had a blast!

What a great place!

This place was very thought out and had everything you could need for an epic Hawaiian vacation. Quiet and beautiful setting. Peeper frogs all night to help you sleep. Gardens were cool and the ocean front was great for photos. Close enough to everything but felt like we got away! Great space for a family or small group.

Whale House Love!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property! Everything was decorated beautifully & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The outside area (deck and backyard) we’re out favorite places to enjoy. Our only wish is that we had stayed longer to enjoy it more! Great option for our family of 7 - plenty of space to accommodate everyone comfortably.

All about the view

Met all of our needs. Wonderful porch with wonderful views. Had a decent stocked kitchen for meals, the scuba gear and beach towels on hand were helpful. Bikes could use some love. Wonderful hikes nearby property.

Amazing property

Had the most wonderful time at the Whale House. We could have spent more time exploring the property. Loved the ocean front view and wandering through the gardens. Hosts were wonderful and am hoping to come back and visit again!!

We loved Whale House! The ocean views and sound of waves every day was spectacular and the proximity to so many of the sites that Hilo has to offer was wonderful. The only negative part of our stay was acclimating to the climate with limited air conditioning, which is a challenge for midwesterners who are used to a/c everywhere. So keep that in mind with this property (and many restaurants/shops throughout the area), and plan to be outside during the day enjoying the beautiful views and go swimming at the black sand beaches!
