A Tranquil Getaway

Great stay at Tranquility on Olivia Street. Have stayed at this property in the past. Awesome location, close enough to walk to Duval, restaurants, beaches. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle for relaxing evenings by the pool. Staff was extremely responsive. cottage was neat, clean and comfortable. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful location and property to explore Old Town

We had a wonderful time at the house and would definitely stay again. It's located a five minute walk from Duval Street, but far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet at night. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and found everything worked great. Communication with the managers worked very well. Check in was easy, and when we had an issue with the water (some people doing work had inadvertently turned it off), the property managers responded quickly and got it fixed while we were out enjoying the sights. They texted when it was addressed. A really comfortable and convenient place from which to explore Key West.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time to Key West. We liked the location wrt Key West. I will not rent this unit again. Really did not like the two story arrangement. But we saw other units in in the ccmplex that had a more modern look and finish.

Nice Stay

Nice place. It's a little bungalow community of about 10 units that surround the pool. It was just down the block from a little corner gas station for some basic supplies. I think it was 3 blocks from Duval Street so worked out well for just walking about in Old Town. Parking was no issue as there are about 4 spots and not everyone had a car. The pool was larger than I thought it was from the listing and they came to tend to it daily. The unit had everything you needed and they were nice with the housewarming gifts. I like that there was an upstairs balcony to hand out on as well as the downstairs porch and a very nice area behind the unit that was well taken care of with lots of plants and nature. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay there again.

Just Barely OK, for the Price

The pool heater was broken, so the pool was super cold. We are swimmers and it is the main reason we want to come to Florida. There was no comfortable place to sit in the bungalow. Chairs super uncomfortable. Couch like a reject from Goodwill. Our bungalow’s little patio backed up to a bar, which was noisy all day and evening, even though we were told in the contract to respect people’s desire for quiet. This is an expensive place to stay. I have food issues which means that we need to stay in a place where we can cook. But overall, not the experience warranted by paying 4,000 for a week! Definitely not booking with you again.

Very Cute! Parking Issue. High extra fees.

Very cute house, shares in quaint little terrace and pool. Pool was clean and nice and warm! Well depicted in pictures. 4 people was tight, thankfully kids are under 10. Wouldn't recommend this for 4 adults. Also there isn't seating for 4 to eat a meal. Not even outside, only 2 chairs, so that was a disappointing. Parking was a problem, there aren't enough spaces for 1 car per unit and street parking was difficult. Very cute inside though and the pool was a lifesaver with the kids since it is >20 min walk to the beach. Final comment is that with the added fees, the advertised nightly price pretty much doubled. Overall, cute little place, but overpriced when you add in the added fees.

The pool is great, and the grounds are well-maintained. The unit is tired and needs to be updated. The furnishings, such as the sofa and bed, are dated and worn. Great location.

Wonderful week in Tranquility

Spent a wonderful week at this property. The location was perfect. The complex had a variety of buildings that allowed for individual privacy. A common pool was well maintained and perfect after a hot day. Our property was just as the pictures showed. The common areas were a bit in need of a refresh, but understanding, as this was a few weeks after IAN. Based on previous reviews, we brought our own coffee. We enjoyed the multiple decks to sit outside. The back deck however, backs up to the bar/dining on the neighboring complex. There were times when their music and conversations were louder than we would have liked, but we had options to get away from the noise. Overall, this property was perfect for our week of R&R. Highly recommend Avant for this and future rentals.

It is conveniently located and quiet except for the rooster in the back yard. The property lacks a dishwasher and the dishes, pots, and pans are hard to access. Also the property has plenty of soup spoons but only one small spoon. The property would be fine if you took all your meals out.

Good Time in Key West

Reviewer Comments: Tranquility home is in a great location that is safe and convenient to Duval St. We really enjoyed the compound aspect of the property and the convenience of the pool. The home is clean but lacks certain aesthetics. Bring coffee and filters if you want some the first morning. The kitchen bar could probably sit 5 people but there are only 2 stools. The sleeper couch which sits 2 is not comfortable for evening sits or watching TV. The 12 inch TV downstairs is not suitable for watching, while the upstairs TV is better quality but nowhere to sit (except bed) and difficult to hear if air conditioning is running. The bed is firm which was fine for me but uncomfortable for my wife. The property behind the unit has been upgraded and the Tiki bar (Happy Hours and sometimes later) and morning breakfast now infringes on your quiet time. The upstairs shower curtain needs to be larger and of better quality to keep water off the floor. The half bath downstairs is a great convenience. Stairs to upstairs are small and steep. WATCH your step!! Would I recommend the property? Absolutely, for the location and convenience, and knowing the short comings previously mentioned. There are some friends I would not recommend the property because of those short comings.
