Our deck overlooks a tranquil pond, where you’re immediately surrounded by the sights and sounds of the low country with a unique and up close and personal glimpse into the amazing nature of the island. For bird lovers, this is a genuine birder’s paradise. The pond attracts a wide variety of species, warblers, buntings, anhinga, wading birds, just to name a few. And just beyond the porch sits a remarkable highlight: an active eagles’ nest, close enough to watch the adults soar overhead and the eaglets grow and test their wings.
