Mandy’s condo was fantastic, and a perfect fit for our young family of 5 with the Murphy bed and pull out couch. The pool was a 1 minute walk downstairs, and the beautiful Kamaole Beach Park was less than a 5 minute walk across the street. There was a hula show at the pool one night, and don’t forget to try a yummy Hula Cookie. The condo had everything we needed for the week - beach towels, umbrella, wagon, pool toys, snorkel gear, boogie boards, Bogg bag, Yeti cooler, extra sunscreen, plus so much more! The condo is only a 6 minute drive to the Te Au Moana luau so you can enjoy a Mai Tai or two without a long drive back across the island. The restaurants near Kamaole Sands were some of our favorites during our whole trip - Coconuts Fish Cafe, Threes Bar & Grill (go during happy hour), Ululani's Shave Ice. Mandy has many more suggestions across the island. The condo is close to several grocery stores. Check out the Ross down the street for some cute souvenirs for the kids - stuffed animals, puzzles, key chains, etc, as well as all the luau attire. Mahalo for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a great first trip to Maui and can’t wait to return!

Greatly equipped Kamaole Sands condo with sunset views

Had a great 10 day stay at this 2nd floor condo with ocean views and great pool access. Lots of attention to detail and nothing overlooked - pool toys and tons of beach toys for the kids, Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella, boogie boards, snorkels, softsided cooler, portable Bluetooth speaker, Sonos speakers, stocked kitchen.. this place has it all. Tastefully renovated with lots of space and the Murphy bed is a plus for extra space. We were a family of 4 with a 8 and 6 year old and would rent this unit again in a heartbeat. The Dowell's have are great hosts!

Fantastic Kihei Condo

We had an excellent stay here. Everything was as advertised and the condo was well stocked, clean and well decorated. I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to stay in Kihei.

Beautiful condo with all the lux amenities and beach things needed. Comfortable bed and great space to relax. We love staying at Kam Sands when we visit family and we hope to book here again the future. One of the best condos we have stayed in while in Maui.

Enjoyable Place to Stay

Overall it was an enjoyable place to stay. The apartment was modern and nicely furnished. The property is a 5 min walk to the beach. The owner has done a great job laying out all of the property details and such in the guest book. Midrange to upscale restaurant, cafes , coffee bars, and grocery stores, were a little further away than we anticipated for a casual morning stroll or an evening walk. Also the bath room towels were a bit mildewy smelling. However, there was access to a washer and dryer so that was easily sorted.

Amazing Condo

My family was very impressed with our stay! The condo was clean and updated. What set this condo apart from our previous stays was all the amenities. Snorkel gear, boogie boards, four beach chairs, a Yeti cooler, beach towels, toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and a kitchen stocked with all of the appliances and dishes we needed. We enjoyed home made cinnamon rolls on our first morning! Would recommend this condo to anyone, and look forward to potentially staying here again on our next trip.

Nicely updated condo in Kamaole Sands

We always stay at Kamaole Sands as it’s location in Kihei is second to none. The condo itself was nicely decorated with a relatively new renovation. It was stocked with all the necessities to have a great vacation. The owner, Mandy was great with any and all communication. The only thing more I could have asked for would have been a quiet heat pump instead of the two somewhat noisy air conditioners. Overall, I would definitely recommend this condo.

Loved this unit

We had such a wonderful stay in this unit! The view in this unit is much better than the photos show. The place was stocked with all the bathroom toiletries, launder soaps, pantry and kitchen tools you could ever need which has not been the case when we have stayed at other properties at Kamaole Sands. We loved the updated unit, comfortable master bed and murphy bed, beautiful decor and coastal vibe throughout! The large Yeti cooler, chairs, umbrella, wagon cart, boogie boards, goggles and JBL bluetooth speaker made our beach days so much more enjoyable and easy getting to/from the unit daily. We have stayed in many Kamaole Sands units and this unit has been our favorite so far. The only downside to the unit is the pull-out bed on the couch has seen better days and could be replaced. Our kids did not complain but teens/adults would not sleep well on it. Thank you, Amanda and family, for making our stay so comfortable and going above and beyond stocking your unit so your guests feel at home while they are away! We can't wait to come back again and stay in your unit.

Perfect place to stay!

We cannot say enough good things about this condo and would give it 10 stars if we could! I am a neat freak and like things to be new and clean and this far exceeded our expectations. Our family of 5 had the most wonderful time in Maui and it was so nice to come back to a really nice condo that had all we needed! It was also decorated super cute and especially loved the JuJu hat above the bed(felt like home since we have one as well). The location was perfect and we could walk comfortably to a few places to eat and nearby beaches. Its also a quick drive to many other places to eat and other beaches we loved. The condo really had everything we needed and more which was so helpful! From shampoo and conditioner to beach towels, chairs, boogie boards and even a cooler which was a huge plus for us! While we didn’t make dinners in the condo( we tried to support the local restaurants as much as we could), they had everything needed to do that and it was all really nice kitchen supplies as well! The Dowells are wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to come back!! Also wanted to note-we were hesitant to come with all that had happened to Lāhainā. It is such a tragedy but we are so glad we came. Mandy helped ease our concerns and everyone was so happy to see visitors and they were very appreciative of our support! We quickly realized West Maui needs time to heal but the rest of Maui really needs us more than ever❤️

Kihei Condo

The condo was clean and updated. The grounds were beautifully and sustainably landscaped. The property was active and lively with people playing frisbee on the lawn, gym facilities, pool, tennis courts and events, etc. We were woken up by a wild rooster every morning which seems to be a thing in Hawaii. The king-size bed was comfortable, but the springy old fashioned pull-out sofa did a number on my back. Although we did not like the touristy and crowded area of Kihei, it was geographically well-situated to see many beautiful places on the island. I was surprised that the air conditioners were on a timer and went off in the middle of the night and that we were required to wash and fold the beach towels, which we did, but we appreciated having the beach amenities, like towels, and beach chairs. The host provided lots of information before our visit. The price was very reasonable and if you're going to stay in Kihei this is a very good option.

Perfect stay in Kihei!

From start to finish, our experience with this condo was absolutely perfect. The communication with the owner was seamless and they were extremely responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. It was clear that they truly cared about our experience and wanted to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed with how clean and well-maintained the condo was. It was clear that the owners take great pride in their property and go to great lengths to ensure that it is always in top condition. The condo itself was beautifully updated with modern amenities and tasteful decor. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for our family. The location of the condo on the island was also fantastic. It was just a short walk to the beach, and there were plenty of restaurants, shops, and other attractions nearby. We loved being able to explore all that Maui had to offer, while still having a peaceful and relaxing home base to come back to at the end of the day. Finally, I have to say that the accuracy of the online listing was spot on. The photos and descriptions of the condo were completely accurate, which made our decision to book it in the first place an easy one. It was clear that the owners were transparent about what guests could expect from their property, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. Overall, I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a perfect vacation rental in the Kihei area. From the communication with the owner, to the cleanliness and updates, to the location and accuracy of the listing, everything about our stay was absolutely perfect.

Great Place!

Great little condo for a Maui vacation. The owner supplied everything needed for your trip ( even saved us a few trips to the store ( had shampoo, razors, detergent, condiments, boogies boards, snorkeling gear, etc). It’s very nicely decorated, clean and new. 5 stars all the way!!

Great place!

The condo is beautiful! The photos of the view do not do it justice, it's a great view of the property and the ocean. Our one complaint is that the A/C is on a four-hour timer. It's thermostat set so I don't understand the need for the timer. This timer would go off every night and wake us up. We'd have to get up and restart it or the condo would get too warm. Otherwise, it's a great place and we would definitely stay here again!

Well-appointed, perfect stay

We loved our stay in this condo. It had everything we needed from the kitchen tk the beach and was beautifully decorated. Lots of nice touches like toothpaste in the bathroom, basic pantry items, and all the beach gear you could need. This is a great place and we hope to come back!

The condo unit is clean and beautiful. The bed was very comfy. The kitchen is well stocked and with high-end items. Liked the nice tropical garden and a glimpse of ocean view from the lanai and the inside couch. It was a great stay. Highly recommend.
