Best thing about the unit was the balcony. The unit needs some TLC, too much furniture. The one of the doors fell off a kitchen cupboard, was only attached with one hinge. The bedrooms were good, liked the new shower in the primary bathroom. The velour windows don’t close tightly and kept blowing doors closed and the screen blew out of the sliding door.

The host was attentive. The property was toally run down, the kitchen cabines were rotted and full of bugs, cleaning crew did not do a good job. One of the cabinet doors kept falling off, the pots and pans had the teflon flaking off, very disapointed for something that was 550 / night. Maui Properties were helpful, just need an overhaul and better cleaning

The condo's photos make it look a whole lot better than it is in real life. The condo could definitely use a good scrubbing; it is a bit tired and worn.Other than that, it is fine, a great location, and an easy walk down to the street/beach.

Unfortunately we didn't realize that there was only one air conditioner in the main room. Rooms were very uncomfortable. Also, came across two cockroaches. No blankets/pillows for pull out bed. Not enough towels.

Great spot

It was a great location, close to the beach and shopping and eats. Found a few stains, cabinet was broken, only one ac in the living room, pull out bed was uncomfortable, has everything to cook with, parking slot is very small. Other than that it was ok for the price. Was nice and quiet.

A Wonderful Holiday

D402 is a very nice condo. We stayed there with another couple and found the condo spacious for four people. It was very nice to have an ensuite bathroom for both bedrooms (though the bathrooms are small). The views from the living area and the back bedroom were great - the pictures do not capture how lovely the views are! The swimming and snorkeling at the Kamaole beaches was excellent and the beaches are only a three minute walk away. We saw turtles every day. We would love to come back.

Bittersweet

This was my first time to any of the Hawaii Islands and it was such a gorgeous place to Vacation! The condo was slightly more run down than I had expected by the pictures but the location in South Maui was fantastic... I had a car rental for other exploring but if you are looking to stay local... this place is very central to a lot in the area. The pools and tennis/pickleball options on site were great too. The exterior property is very well kept and the front desk staff was always very pleasant. It was great to have some beach things available for use in the condo but two of the four beach chairs were completely rusted so they couldn't unfold or the seat was ripped so not at all usable. A lot of the cookware and utensils were dirty as well...and the floor...it's a beach spot so sand here and there is inevitable but I'm not sure it was mopped in a while because my white socks were not so white without going outside. The screen door of the lanai kept coming of the track as well as the master bedroom closet so that was a bit frustrating after a few days. I definitely utilized the washer/dryer during the stay and it was great to do laundry before heading home but both are SO LOUD... not the end of the world but be mindful before use. Make sure to do a double, triple, quadruple check of your belongings before you check out!

Beautiful views and sunsets. Only a Short walk down to beach and restaurants! Great stay and would definitely recommend and return. Needs a little TLC - just a little wear from rentals.

Beach Dreams

The location was amazing with many beaches to to visit all walking distance. Fun shops to browse right down the street. The Condo was very dirty so that was disappointing. Also condo needs some upgrades and TLC to make it the best place to stay.

A Decent Stay

Overall: Nice views of the ocean and sunset beyond the garden and trees. Size of unit was sufficient for our family with 3 kids. It had all the kitchen basics we needed for small meals. This property was right across the street from the beach, but this unit was the farthest away from the street entrance when walking to the beach. Opened windows let in a nice breeze, and ceiling fans worked sufficiently. AC unit was loud, but worked. Parking was fine. Restaurants nearby were great. Swimming pools: The property swimming pools were fair. The water was clean and comfortably warm, and decently located between the four buildings within the property. We would have preferred the two swimming pools to be slightly different in depths and design to accommodate our youngest daughter who could not yet swim. There were also many rules posted in the pool area against having inflatables, which discouraged our use of floaties or pool toys, as other guests and children made unwanted comments, and my children could not have the fun they expected. Cleanliness of unit: The overall interior and balcony area were clean and tidy. The unit had some issues with ants on the kitchen countertop, and evidence of not being thoroughly cleaned around the unit in some hidden spaces for some time. We contacted the owners and this was remedied after three days. It would have been nicer to have multiple kitchen towels for cleaning up after cooking. Bonus: 2 boogie boards were available for use.

Great place

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The condo was conveniently located to many great amenities, and most importantly it was a short walk from the beach which we enjoyed very much. Over all we loved the place and would definitely recommend to anyone. We will definitely be coming back.

Keihi Akani Unit D402

The location of the condo was excellent, right across the street from a free public beach. The condo itself was OK but is showing it's age. The cabinet door under the sink was falling off the hinges. A hodge podge approach to updating but serviceable. The AC unit did not cool the 2 bedrooms but using the floor fans provided helped. A couple of the beach chairs were not functional which required our group to rent them from a 3rd party. Overall, a very good stay in Maui. BEWARE-THE CHICKENS ARE EVERYWHERE AND THE ROOSTERS START THEIR CROWING VERY EARLY!
