Love the location and complex, very quiet, great pool and grounds. Twin beds are not great mattresses, and there is no microwave, but everything else is well stocked. There are great beach chairs, and towels.

Broadly, our stay was enjoyable. While the condo was livable, the state of the unit reflects a home that is not used by the owner. The budget friendly price comes at a cost. Most of these costs are acceptable exactly what I expected - tired, worn out, and threadbare furniture, very old carpeting, heavy wear on walls, doors, etc. The renter provides some simple kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. While its standard that these be on the cheap and well-used side, I was very disappointed by the physical state of these items. In particular, the knives were so dangerously dull that we stopped cooking anything entirely. Every knife was serrated, yet could barely saw through any fruit or vegetable. Cutting meat was out of the question. Pot and pan handle rivets were loose and threatening to fall off while cooking. While I recognize we were in a tropical destination, and pests are extremely difficult to do away with entirely, I have to say that I have never stayed in a property with as many insects as this one. It's fair to say that this is not the fault of Coldwell Bankers directly, but that of the condo board and property manager. However, it was very disappointing to be chasing cockroaches down every morning just to make sure they weren't getting into our breakfasts. Note - we complied strictly with the house rules to prevent this to no avail.I would hesitate to stay in this unit again until I hear that these issues have been resolved.

The interior of the condo is extremely outdated. We had a problem with ants in our kitchen even though we emptied garbage daily and kept all food in fridge and counters wiped down. The beds were very uncomfortable hard to the point where we did not sleep good at all. The AC unit in primary bedroom did not work efficiently at all. It was extremely hot in our bedroom . The main room AC worked great but the bedroom AC unit was like non existent in cooling the room. Despite texting the property manager no one showed up to fix and check the AC like we were told they would.

Great location, good complex, spacious property with a great view but really dated. Also the unit is not clean enough. Specifically the floor really needs mopping, it’s dirty to the sticky level and socks turn black from walking on it. The vinyl in the kitchen just needs to go, wish I could add a photo. Some dishes/cups have cracks and chips. Sofa fabric has worn out through. It’s all easily fixable but really a full renovation wouldn’t hurt.

We’ve stayed in this unit many times over the past 15 years. This unit is in dire need of TLC. Almost everything is worn out couches, beds, chipped paint by the window. We paid a very high nightly rate for 2 weeks and are so disappointed in the condition of the unit. The sink is split in the main bath and almost falling off the wall, the tub was clogged, no propane tank, electric kettle broken, difficult to open kitchen window and patio doors, broken beach chairs, we just felt nickeled and dimed with the minimal and cheap items supplied in the unit for a premium price. We complained to the main property manager as well and won’t stay here again.

So many great things to say!! However, would suggest much better lighting, more linens, boogie boards and umbrella, kitchen consumables like Saran Wrap, oil, spices, etc., carpet cleaning, sharper knives. A bit dated but great value!! Did not get very good customer service from Coldwell Banker who manages the unit. Would stay here again.

The booking was easy, checking in was a breeze. I will say, the main address takes you to the main building / reception area. Our condo was actually down the street a bit further so it was difficult to map but we found it within a few minutes. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, even down to the complimentary gifts / snacks they provided. Mahalo for the stay!

We understood going into this rental is was not luxury, that was not what we were looking for that. We wanted functional for an active family specifically knowing we wouldn't be spending a ton of time in the unit. Especially wanting a unit with facilities that could support our activities...washer/dryer so we could pack light but keep clean. CBI rentals is the property manager for this unit and they were calling us before we had even left the rental car lot about needing access to fix the washer/dryer. Unfortunately this was not the only thing broken in the unit, but they didn't mention this during the first call. The cable also was not working in the living room area, the counter top in the guest bathroom is completely cracked and starting to separate from the wall. The cabinets in the kitchen are flimsy and don't always close, the dishwasher is not anchored to the cabinets and it almost tips over every time you open it...and good luck with getting hot water at the kitchen sink. Let it run for a while it will eventually warm up but it might be a minute or two before it gets there. CBI called 3 different mornings acknowledging the issues but each call was made by a different person so it was like starting all over again. They eventually said the dryer would not be fixed during our stay and offered a $100 credit for the inconvenience. They also eventually offered laundry service but my trust with their reliability was pretty much gone at this time.
The positives I will give this unit are it's location in Wailea. It is an older complex but the grounds are still very well kept. It appears other units around us were likely more updated and possibly better. The pool area is very nice, but the pool is very warm and doesn't feel very refreshing when it's 85 degrees outside. The proximity to Keawakapu Beach was by far it's best asset! We or our teenagers could walk down there within minutes and the beach is fantastic. There is a nice path both to the north and south for running with a mix of sand, trail and sidewalk surface if you like running.
We enjoyed our visit to Maui tremendously and would recommend the area. We made this rental unit work but I can't say I would recommend it unless they did some serious maintenance. It's frustrating that a property management company puts customers in units like this knowing they are not up to standards listed on the website. Look for another unit and try to verify it's been updated

This unit should not be rented in its present condition. The owner does not take any pride in keeping this unit up-to-date. There were problems with both plumbing and electrical.
1. The drain in the guest bath was plugged. It took two calls and two plumbers to fix it.
2. The water connection under the master bath sink was dripping.
3. There was a leak from the refrigerator, could cause a catastrophic fall on the tile floor.
4. The garbage disposal roared like a jet engine. I felt sorry for the guests in the unit below.
5. The light switch in the master bathroom worked occasionally. This was never fixed.
6. The TV was very small and old. Not a Smart TV.
7. All of the cupboard doors in the kitchen are crooked and don’t close properly.
8. The couch was ‘thread bare’ in places.
9. Walls had chipped paint and dirt smears on the front door.
It really wouldn’t take a lot of money to bring this unit up to the Palm community standards. It is evident that the owner has really let it go……

Beautiful property, unit exactly as promised.
We traveled with out 2 kids (14) so we need a little space and 2 bathrooms. Unit has full kitchen, washer drier & beach toys. We drove to a different beach everyday.

Very well stocked. The until was just what the pictures show. It was handy having the beach chairs and extra snorkels and floats to borrow. Easy getting in and out of the unit and great area and many of the best beaches close by. Great big window to view the sunsets from the living room. It would have been nice to have more dishwasher pods for how long we stayed and when I called to ask for more I was told they can’t provide more than a starter amount. Besides that I was really happy with the condo and the location.

The unit was clean, very large and had all the amenities listed. The location is about a 7-10 minute walk to the beach and is within 10 minutes drive to almost every good South Maui snorkel spot. Traveling to Maui was a little squirrelly, but the stay at the Palms was smooth. Good communication up front and simple directions when we arrived. Actually didn’t see anyone face to face or speak to anyone at the complex. They have the entire process handled very smoothly.
