Didn't care for the bathroom situation

This was our first time staying at Sugar Beach Resort. This resort was recommended to us by a friend. Probably won't come back to this unit for the following reasons: 1) was unaware and didn't like the bathroom / bedroom situation; no door (curtain), 2) furniture was uncomfortable, 3) despite loving the view of beach / water, the water wasn't clear, 4) this area had too much wind for my liking. As for communication with property manager, I would have liked some prior (and exit) communication on the unit. Though, property manager was active during the stay.

Amazing Views!

Loved the location. Nice snd quiet. Loved sitting on the lanai and eating our meals there. Amazing sunsets every night from our lanai. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic setting!

Great condo right on the beach! Complex was quiet and the staff friendly. Loved being able to swim and snorkel every day right from the beach! Spectacular sunsets every evening from the lanai. Easy free parking right in front of the condo. Pool very nice too. Condo was cozy and well appointed. The condo had been updated but for the washer/dryer. The toilet was part of the bedroom which was a bit goofy but part of the original design.

SB Delight

We enjoyed the beautiful view and the proximity to several beaches. The property and the grounds are clean and well maintained. The condo was extremely well stocked and quiet. We definitely recommend SB331:)

Hidden gem

Amy is definitely a superhost and the property is at an amazing location. It felt like being on a private beach, waking up everyday to the sound of waves. Amy is super helpful and understands your needs and tried to help me in every way she could. I would highly recommend this place.

Back again!

This is our 2nd time at this condo although we have been in different ones at Sugar Beach and we enjoy this one the most. Amy and Larisa are very easy to get in touch with to help with any questions or problems. Well stocked and clean. Lovely beach to walk and close to everything.

Amazing view!

The condo is newly remodeled and is beautiful! Perfect for 2 people. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning and could see whales spouting in the distance. The condo was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is great. We actually went and got dinner a couple of nights at the local food trucks which was a short drive away and came back and ate on the lanai. We would definitely stay again!

Excellent ocean front relaxation

Condo offered all amenities and great lanai directly on the ocean. Kitchen was well equipped although a standard oven would be nice as only option was a microwave with convection. Internet was spotty which made the Tv streaming impossible most of the time. Great shower and king bed. Would stay here again

Great views

The condo was clean and comfortable with everything you could need for a great stay. The views from the lanai were amazing. The resort is great, with a nice pool area, beach, restaurant, and massages too. Communication with host was great. The check in closes at 5pm and doesn’t open til 8am which made getting the parking pass a challenge for us. There are 3 steps to get into the condo, which could be difficult for mobility challenged. The bathroom design is open to the bedroom, but there is a shower curtain you can pull for added privacy. The area is central to doing many activities. We had a great stay and would choose this condo again. We will recommend to others.

Wonderful sun set views. Close to harbor for whale watching and snorkeling trips. Close to Kihei. Jacuzzi was nice. Well appointed kitchen.

Perfect Location

We would stay at this place again. The condo was beautifully updated and bright. The only thing was there is no separate door on the bathroom. It was not an issue for us, we just would close the bedroom door. The property, pool and beach are clean. It is centrally located which was perfect.

Needs help.

Check in process was easy and simple, the location is also fantastic. No problems with anything in that department. What we were disappointed in: 1. Was the amount of expired, old food & medication in the kitchen/vanity. I was shocked to see peoples prescription drugs left. There is a big difference between leaving some condiments and salt or coffee vs leaving old jam, expired prescriptions, literally (and I counted) 14 sunscreen tubes, etc. The overall cleanliness of the unit was good. 2. The washer/dryer is about 25 years old and needs replaced. Super sad to see a $1.2M condo and the owner not spend a few thousand bucks for a decent place to wash your clothes. 3. The mattress was really sad and hard, and the sheets could have been cleaner. Which I believe is a result of the washing machine being a joke. 4. The kitchen remodel they did looks and is great. However, the entire condo needs a paint job. All the walls and scuffed and dirty looking. The pictures are deceiving. Its these small things that really matter, and do not cost a lot. The bedroom closet is stacked to the ceiling with things that the guest should not be seeing. The disorganization of it is also sad. I expect to stay in a place that is at minimum as clean as any mediocre hotel.

Love this place!

My husband and I stayed here for a wonderful 8 nights. This condo did not disappoint. The view and location are perfect. The location is very central to all the must do activities on Maui. The condo is well stocked with essentials and extras like beach chairs and snorkeling gear. We will be back for sure!

Great things come in small packages

Even though the condo is small, it has more amenities than any place we've ever stayed. The view was stunning, the furniture was in great condition, and the bed was comfortable. Kitchen had anything you could need. All you need to do is buy the main ingredients. We will be back!

Enjoyed our stay!

Overall was a good property with a great view! Right on the beach! The lanai is definitely the best part! Great place for a getaway. Kihei is central to the island and a good location for exploring all the island has to offer with this resort being on the far end going towards Lahaina. We had a wonderful time and the concierge was awesome!

Our delayed 20th anniversary trip

Hubby and I had a trip to Hawaii planned for our 20th and things came up. We finally took the trip and found this awesome condo at Sugar Beach. Owners were great, Marco, the manager was great as well. The place was amazing and the lanai...oh my, sooo great. The complex, as a whole has everything. A pool, tub, cool pub/food, activities, etc. The endless sandy beach is absolutely incredible. Close to some touring around, but the best is just chillin ocean front🌅👍. Thank you. Suzi and Scott
