Great stay on the beach

We really loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean. Definitely worth the extra cost to be right on the beach. Assigned parking was a plus. Would highly recommended. Cant wait to go back.

Perfect stay

The view is spectacular. Everything was clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The gentleman that met us there was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful View

This property is beautiful inside and outside. Best sunset on the beach. The only thing was the air in the master bedroom, there was none. It was okay for us because we could keep the door open and fan on. It was well supplied with cooking items. The grill was so good to have access to.

Absolute Beach Front with Brilliant View

Great support from property manager Ali'i Resorts including smooth check-in and late check-out. Balcony provides a great place to enjoy sunset drinks. Condo kitchen is well equipped. We made good use of the beach chairs and towels provided. The bedroom cabinets are starting to look tired. The master bedroom is smaller than the guest bedroom. Only the guest bedroom and lounge have AC. The master bedroom as a ceiling fan which we found adequate for our stay in December. Most afternoons there was a breeze. We loved our stay in the condo.

Great week in Kihei

This condo is suitable for a small family, one comfortable queen bed in bedroom one and two twins in a second bedroom. Shower is great and kitchen has all you need to cook meals. We loved the view of the ocean! And access to beach is amazing! It is just as pictures show, right on sugar beach. Beach is great for boogie boarding, walks and family fun. The property has basic beach gear- boogie boards, pool noodles and flippers. Recommendations when staying include: bring snorkels of your own to snorkel at beach, pack your own beach towels(there’s only four at condo that are not great), be sure to spend time in Kihei at awesome family owned small restaurants and food trucks.

Relocated due to excessive bugs.

I originally reserved this room for 10 nights but I had to ask for relocation due to the overwhelming number of bugs-- about 1 inch size huge ants with wings. I vacuumed all of them (45 of them at least) and contacted the property management and sent them the pictures and videos of those. The management team quickly relocated us, which was awesome. This property's view was awesome but all the windows and its rails were too dirty, so I never felt like opening them. It's such a waste of nice view, by not to cleaning behind blinds. Sorry, but I can not recommend this place. I appreciated the Ali Resort for relocating us so quickly.

A beach of our own!

If you want an empty beach with sugar like sand, this is the place! The waves can get a little rough in the afternoon, but that makes for fun boogie boarding. The water is shallow for quite few feet out. There were beach chairs in the condo and the building in general has extra beach toys (like boogie boards and pool noodles) you can use for the day on a first come basis. The accommodations were just as pictured. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was modest but well maintained and all the utensils and extra kitchen tools in place to fix breakfast, lunch and a modest dinner. The view from the deck was spectacular, as were many of the sunsets over the West Maui Mountains. IF you are bothered by the sound of waves, bring earplugs, if you have a sound machine at home, you will love it! Finally, from the location it is easy to get to other parts of Maui, if you want to go snorkeling, trail hiking or upcountry.

Needs Updating

Location was perfect! Corner view of pool and ocean was beautiful. The unit though... The bedroom with the queen bed had NO a/c and the ceiling fan barley moved. The bedroom with the twin beds had a/c. We've been married 40 some years, go to Maui to celebrate our retirement and had to sleep in separate beds !! That really upset us. During our welcome walk through the evening we arrived the welcoming man mentioned it and honestly we didn't think anything about it. Then a couple hours later it was so horriblely hot in the condo we knew the a/c was going to be a huge problem. IT WAS! No ceiling fan in the bathroom or kitchen. The couches where so uncomfortable we sat on the dinning room table chairs in the evenings.

Not family friendly

The property looks just as expected. We enjoyed being right on the beach and the convenience of the condo. Things I wish I knew before renting: 1) No one under 18 is allowed in the pool between 12-1. And 5-9. So if you’re thinking you’re going to have a fun day and then let the kids swim before bed, not happening. 2) There is a serious Karen type manager who has no problem yelling at kids. My daughter spent the night crying after she and my other daughters were at the pool during these hours (I didn’t know the rule, it’s posted on a tiny sign that was pointed out to me after, but the rental company said the pool closed at 9, no other restrictions) And this woman proceeded to yell at them and kick them out of the pool. She never once asked to talk to their parent. So watch out for NormaJean.

The views were excellent! The Tupperware, the dishes, and washer/ dryer in the apartment were great! Everything else, not so much. The walls, window rails, fans, shower, the couches, were all dirty and dingy. In need of some love and deep cleaning. The ice dispenser in the fridge is all moldy, we realized because black flakes were falling from there. Thankful we had a roof over our head and somewhere to sleep and go to the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this condo.

Great location!

One of the best parts of Kihei, easy to get anywhere on the island. Maalea cove is great for swimming, walk down the beach and there's decent snorkeling, and tide pools. The shops at the end of the beach were super convenient too. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we could possibly need. The resort is a quick trip from the airport so travel is easy too. A majority of the best restaurants on the island are between a 10-25 minute drive. Overall we had a great time!

Perfect View

Anytime spent on the lanai made this worth the money! Driving distance to everything, nice quite location. We had kids with us and the pool is closed to them after 5 but open to adults. Just a heads up for future travelers used to spending their evenings after a long day, letting The kids play in the pool at night is not an option.

Condo in Great Location but can be maintained much better

The condo is located near a great beach and has an ocean-view balcony. The complex where the condo is located at is neat and safe. However, the condo itself is not maintained in a good shape. The single beds were rocking and when we called for help to fix it they send house cleaning ladies! Obviously they could not fix it. The floor was not clean and walking with bare feet we quickly collect dark dirt on the bottom of your feet. I have seen much better condos in Maui and wish this one could be cleaner. Also, they don't have any ocean/sand/pool gears. That was a big bummer as in our previous stays in Maui at other condos we always had access to those gears and that obviously make the stay much more fun especially for kids. The internet speed was very slow .,.. download was speed was only 3 Mbps! So, if you want to watch your favorite Netflix shows in the evening you cannot! Overall, the condition of the condo was below average. I wish the management would have thought to keep the Condo in a better shape. We won't stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone either.

Lovely Beach Condo

I loved this property because of its location right on the beach. Easy to play on the beach or walk along the shore. Stayed here in late April. Small waves not good for surfing during our stay, but great for walking and playing in the surf and sand. Furnture is a little dated, but fine for us. Twin beds rather small for adults, but we managed! Kitchen was great with included washer & dryer. You will love the location!!

SUGAR BEACH BLISS

We've just returned from our ten day stay and can hardly wait to return again. This condo is all it is advertised! All the things you need are right there, from in unit W/D, beautiful view, beach chairs, beach towels, designated parking spot, etc. Our one and only critical thing to say is the Queen bed is not comfortable anymore and should be replaced. We loved the view from our deck, the pool and grass areas, and the miles of sandy beach to walk on each day. The facility is well kept, the grounds immaculate, the pool was cleaned every morning. The check in procedure was friendly and fast. We will return!

Awesome Condo, beautiful grounds, Wonderful location!

This review is for Kealia Resort, unit #304, managed by Alii Resorts. Our stay was August 4-11, 2018. This condo exceeded our expectations! The condo's location is amazing for people with kids, or who like a little more peace and quiet. It is centrally located on the island in between the two main resort hubs. This means you have a short drive to access nearly everything the island has to offer, but a quiet retreat to return to at the end of the day. The condo itself is well kept and appointed. It accommodated 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. Both bedrooms have panoramic windows with ocean views(literally 30 feet away). The beds are comfortable, and the linens were of good quality. The unit is located at the end of the breezeway, and gets wind nearly 24/7. It keeps the condo so comfortable that we used the air-conditioning only once (it worked extremely well). The furniture was both functional and comfortable with room for everyone to stretch out.. There were TV's in both bedrooms and the living area. The WIFI worked well. The washer and dryer worked well and was a blessing to have available in unit. The pool is just the right size, and well maintained. The property manager cleaned it and the rest of the grounds every single morning. The beach front is beautiful with chairs/loungers available for the grass area, and a gas grill area for use by guests. The beach at this location is not very busy, just a trickle of people throughout the day, unlike the resort beaches which can get packed. The sand quality is wonderful, the surf is moderately tame, and the water is moderately clear. We saw green sea turtles twice during our stay no more than 40 feet out from the beach! There are rocks, coral and fish to see snorkling as well. When you are done at the beach, there is a beach shower to get rid of any sand before hopping in the pool or going back to the condo. The unit has assigned parking on site. Lastly, Alii Resorts has awesome customer service. They answered all questions within the hour before our trip. We were greated at the condo for checking. The condo was spotless, and had all the sundries required for a home (TP, paper towels, tissue, basic cooking supplies, laudry/dish detergent, etc). It had a full complement of bath towels, kitchen towels, and the nicest beach towels I have ever had from a resort. When our family returns to Maui, we will definitely be using Alii Resorts.

Great view and location!

However, this unit is quite unkept. To begin with the a/c unit was leaking quite a bit. I had to empty a bucket and mop the floors for the first week and a half of my stay. Extra towels were dropped off so that I could keep doing that ... so that I could keep moping and washing the towels!!!!! I paid $3000. USD which was $4000. CAD to empty buckets, mop and do laundry!!! Not much of an environment that I want my kids and I in. The owners replaced the a/c 3 days before we left. The curtains are dirty, the smell of mold in one of the bedrooms, the old fan in the other bedroom. All in all, unkept ,’and dirty. But the view and the location were excellent. I would not rent this unit again but I would deal with A’li’i Resorts as they did the best they could to help me ! Unfortunately once you pay upfront, chances of getting a refund or a partial/prorated refund is impossible and not even an option!

Felt like home!

The unit was exactly as pictured. It was clean and comfortable. The view was fantastic! Best feature- going to sleep at night to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and waking up to the sound of the birds chirping! There were plenty of soap packets for doing laundry in the unit and for using the dishwasher. That was nice. Didn't have to buy. The beach was great to walk down but rough on the feet when you get in the water. Not very clear water either. Onsite FREE parking also. It is a beautiful unit!

PERFECT

The other reviews that describe the sound of the ocean are 100% correct. It is right out your window and it is beautiful. The pool is also right beside you. Air conditioning. Clean. Friendly people everywhere. In a VERY quiet spot within walking distance to a grocery and liquor store. Exactly as described. Thank you!!!
