Overall this place what we expected. Right in the beach with beautiful views. Just a few things. The ceiling fan in the living room didnt work but was provided with a standaline fan. The furniture and rooms needs deep cleaning or replaced. A lot of stains. We ended up splacing the extra beach towels and a blanket on chair and couch to sit on. I would have wished for overhead light or a light near the door to bedroom. The washer and dryer were perfect for we needed, they provided the essential for about 5 days beside Kleenex and wash towels. Overall happy with the place.

Perfect location!

Older property in excellent location. Neither ceiling fan worked although there were pedestal fans provided. No response to my question about laundry soap, toilet paper ran out, so we purchased our own. Overall, a very good experience

Fantastic Property in Maui

Would definitely stay here again! This really is an ocean-view property with direct access to the ocean. We had breakfast and coffee on the lānai every morning, enjoying the view. Everything was as-advertised and in good shape, and yes, the AC units worked in both bedroom and dining room! Great location to other parts of the island with a car, though not very walkable to restaurants, groceries, etc. There is lots of parking space at this property. We also walked along the beach for a long stretch and it was fairly quiet/not a lot of people, which was perfect for us. Thanks for a great stay!

Quite and Relaxing

Location of condo is perfect for heading anywhere! Complex was super quiet with your own beach right in front of you. Unit was well equipped and comfortable. Vents and air conditioning units need some cleaning/maintenance.

Amazing views and great home!!!

Koa Lagoon #406 made our trip so memorable!! Plenty of parking spaces available on the property, working A/C’s in both dining/living room and bedroom (much needed for the islands), kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, bathroom had all the amenities, washer/dryer worked great and also had plenty extra beach towels. Our favorite of course was the beach equipment included!! (2) chairs, umbrella, cooler, and 2 boogie boards. This made our beach trips everyday so efficient. THE LANAI VIEW OF THE WATER IS AMAZING. Woke up every morning and walked straight to the balcony to have breakfast and enjoy the sunrise. Overall, a stay well worth it.

right sized one bedroom apartment in great location in Kihei

very nice, clean, very comfortable one bedroom condo, conveniently located to many major attractions, not only in Kihei, but Maui itself. Condo was well appointed with some basics (oil, seasonings, tin foil etc). Grocery/liquor store as well as many restaurants within a couple miles. Awesome sunsets viewable from lanai with short stroll to beach as well as pool on property. AC units in living area as well as bedroom.

Superb location!

Can't say enough how much we loved this property. It was just perfect for all our Maui adventures. Just a short drive to all you need in Kihei. All the rest of the island is super accessible, too. And the views! We had breakfast watching the sun come up over the mountains and dinner watching it set against the ocean. It was magical.

Amazing!!

Gorgeous & comfortable condo! LOVED the sunsets and WHALE WATCHING from the balcony! The condo was clean and the rental company Maui Life provided an adorable welcome basket. Comfy bed! Super nice to have chairs, towels, and a cooler provided too! My only complaint was that I emailed the company 3 times with minor questions about parking, the WiFi not working, and if we could get a late check-out over the course of our stay and never heard back.

Relaxing vacation

The property was clean and well maintained. Our only complaint is that emails sent prior to trip via VRBO link went unanswered by Maui Real Estate who manages this particular unit. However, when we reached out by phone, response was timely ( thank you Thomas!). We would stay again. The view is amazing

Great condo with a beautiful view

Perfect balcony. Well-stocked kitchen. A little far from town, but it's quieter that way. Not particularly walkable, so I'd definitely recommend renting a car. No complaints at all. Thank you for a great first visit to Maui!

Fantastic View

The property sits right on the ocean with spectacular sunset views. The unit has an upgraded kitchen and bath. They also provide limited supplies including paper towels, bath tissue, hand soap, laundry and dish soap. In addition, they have beach equipment and plenty of towels. You will need to rent a car to get around the island. There are nearby restaurants and shopping, but it’s a little over a mile walk and limited sidewalks. A few items to bring or purchase will include extra laundry detergent, paper towels or reusable napkins and lots of sunscreen of course. The only suggestions we have for the owners is to consider a different shower head as it’s quite low for anyone over 5’5. I would also suggest maybe adding some ottomans or replacing the couch/chair with a more comfortable set for lounging (not that you spend too much time at the condo). The air vents and units need some cleaning for sure. They are pretty dirty, but that could be due to us being in between maintenance. I would also recommend the property consider adding a heat pump for the pool (the water is very cold, but it does provide instant relief from the heat) and cleaning up some of the brush/rock at the beach (it’s walkable, but difficult to layout on). Outside of that, the property has an elevator and is well maintained. Overall, We really enjoyed our stay and would strongly consider staying again. We’ve already made recommendations to several people.

Perfect Unit Ocean View

Absolutely lovely apartment with a full ocean view and with Kahoolawe and Lana'i in short distances. It's perfectly located in the middle of the island, close to everything! We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this unit. Mahalo nui.

Can't beat the views

Overall, our stay was wonderful. The condo is easy to access and conveniently located to shops, dining, and beaches. In fact, the condo complex is one of the few located on the beach side Kihei Road. In the mornings, when sitting on the balcony, the only thing you can hear is the surf and the birds. Pros: The view. I sat on the balcony every morning and every evening and watched whales breeching and turtles feeding down by the NOAA sanctuary. In addition to the above, the condo was well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay, including lots of towels, plenty of beach items (chairs, boogie boards, umbrella). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners during our 8 night stay. Cons: The cleaning crew could do a better job. I pulled a book off the bottom shelf of the coffee table and there were crumbs stuck to it and the table and the dust in the bedroom was rather substantial. It would be a good idea to clean the air registers, too. The soap in the kitchen was watered down to the point of being useless (but the soap in the bathroom was fine). It looked like the condo was being prepped for painting, too, with patched areas on the walls. We would definitely stay there again. It's our second time in Maui and the second time in the same condo complex.

Wonderful stay, great views, clean

We had an excellent stay! Maui life was professional and very communicative. Place was cleaned and had all the essentials for my wife, me and toddler. Highly recommend for your Maui vacation! Only thing to be aware of is the beach outside the property was not good (sand is very rocky, water not as blue) as others on Maui. Requires a 10-15 min walk or a 3-5 min drive to get to better beaches so not a huge deal but just FYI. Place itself was awesome though!

Maui vacation

Beautiful view, beautiful grounds, washer/dryer in unit was great, condo is nicely appointed/and tastefully updated, however was only given 1 tiny bar of soap, very little laundry detergent and no tissue… We were given a thoughtful welcome gift with some sweets, trail mix etc. This was such a nice surprise. After all the taxes, VRBO fee the cost was more than we expected however do hope to return one day. We were charged the cleaning fee twice. It took a three phone calls to get that straightened out and for the person in charge of billing to get back to us. For this reason I gave the overall stay 4 stars. We hope to return.

Amazing views of nightly sunsets and whales!

This place was just as pictured and described. The photos of the larger size balcony and view of the ocean are spot on. If you go during whale season you will not be disappointed. We were able to see whales spouting and breaching almost daily! The condo itself was clean with a well-stocked kitchen, the bed was comfortable too. There were plenty of bath and beach towels provided as well as a couple of camping chairs, umbrella, and a cooler. Although the water directly out front is not ideal for snorkeling, there are many other locations on the island that are and we made use of the snorkel gear provided which was in great condition and a very nice surprise! The condo is also just a short drive from local restaurants, shops and the harbor which is the point of departure for several excursions. When we first arrived, we noticed a couple of blinds from the living room/dining area were down and leaning up against the wall, the A/C in the living room also did not appear to be working and the living room fan was a bit slow. We called right away and spoke with Thomas who was very friendly and confirmed that the blinds and fan were known issues and we would not be charged. As for the A/C, the system is linked to the main balcony doors which need to be fully closed for the A/C to turn on, a nice energy saving trick. Ironically, we ended up not needing any of these anyway. The set up of the condo provides for a perfect cross breeze and plenty of fresh sea air coming through. We did not use the A/C once! If we have the chance to come back to Maui, we would most definitely stay at Koa Lagoon again!

We were on a 3 island visit to Hawaii - This property was by far the best - Lots of room - Great view of the ocean and whales playing - There were a couple of CONs about this place - Traffic noise from the street especially starting at about 5:00AM while people were going to work - Nothing the owner can do about that - It would be good to add a light kit to the fan in the bedroom - Looks like the switch and wiring are already there - Other than that, I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful Spot for Sunsets

For the two of us it was perfect. Very clean and nice. Balcony view of the ocean and beach. Almost everything we needed was there. I say almost because our power went out one night and there were no batteries for the flashlights. Also the instruction book said there were nightlights in the bathroom and kitchen which could be used as flashlights but they were not there. We found out this was a new property for the group and they just had forgotten a couple of things. There were plenty of towels including beach towels, storage space and items for the beach. However there was no dishwasher detergent. There could have been more lighting in the bedroom. Mostly we enjoyed the location as we were right on the water and also close to main highway to get around. The kitchen was very nice. The TV's were difficult to use for the technically challenged. There really wasn't a check in process so we were confused as to what to do. The doors are operated by a code lock system so no key was necessary. The custodial service was still working past our check in time.
