Great condo complex, 24 hour security. Right across the street from a great beach. Many great food places within walking distance. Management company is very responsive and prompt.

We had a great time. Convenient unit near many restaurants and good base to travel to other places around the island. Having amenities that a hotel cannot offer is convenient for family vacation. Like a home away from home.

Unit was great. Convenient, short walking distance to beach and shops, restaurants. Host Vacation-Maui was excellent, the best we’ve had in all our stays in Maui. Communication from Vacation-Maui was excellent, kept you informed. Replacement of a slight leak with the AC tank pump was completed immediately. Would stay here again.

A super clean apartment. Very easy communication with managers. Nice location to go to Wailea resort area, and cross the street from a nice beach. Well furnished apartment with all kitchen facilities. Sitting on the small balcony, looking down to flowering plumeria trees and listening to bird singing while having breakfast are among the best parts of staying in this apartment.

Wonderful Place

Kihei Akahi is a wonderful place to stay. Centrally located near a lot of restaurants, the beach, and other awesome things to do. And be there before the office closes at 4:30. They are VERY strict with "closes at 4:30". We literally got there at 4:31 and the door was locked and nobody answered the door.

Great property, great location!

The property was very clean and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Just like in the photos. Property manager was great to communicate with and arrival/departure was easy and convenient. Beautiful Kam II beach was right across the street. Restaurants, groceries and rental gear/tours all within close walking distance. We used the beach chairs, beach towels and cooler every day. Only thing to note was that there were no boogie boards as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Had a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Kihei. The apartment is small but nice and neat. No AC in the bedroom but a ceiling fan. Prepare to bring/ buy your own toilet paper if you are staying for more than a week. Only starter pack (5 rolls) is given for guests as we were told by the management office staff.

This was our 20th trip to Maui and always stay in a condo, and this was one of the better ones. Overall, it was a great stay. I would have rated it as 4.5 stars if that were an option. This unit is remodeled and looks great, compared to some of the dated ones. It has split A/C's in the living room and bedroom and it does make a huge difference. Ceiling fans also in both rooms which is a plus. Bed was comfy. Nice view from the balcony. It had beach chairs, umbrellas and a cooler. The kitchen was well stocked, maybe even too much stuff. My only "issues" were minor, but I thought they should be shared. As with most condo's, there is nowhere to store your food. No pantry type cabinet, so it's all just sitting on the counter. There were 28 "wine" glasses, (why?) could of opened up some cabinet space for food. No door on the W/D so it gets a lil loud. The other odd thing was the vinyl/laminate flooring had "bubbles" in it. So there were quite a few spots that, when stepped on, made some noise. Not a huge deal, but if someone was sleeping, it be bothersome. Would I stay in this unit again, absolutely!! The owners obviously care of their unit and it shows, but I wanted to be transparent.

Good place!

We enjoyed our stay here. The best things about this rental are the location to the beach and food (so close), the newly renovated everything makes it really nice, bed is comfy, lots of fans, lots of beach gear provided, and it's clean. The only complaints we had were the A/C struggles to get to the bedroom. It is in the main area and difficult to cool off the back where you sleep. I also would not recommend this for people needing the hide-a-bed, as there are no curtains to block out the light in that room. Also, the beach gear was not guaranteed, take note. We hoped there would be boogie boards but there was just one little one that didn't work and we wished we'd have bought some, so we just rented. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of. So many beach options nearby, especially if you have a car and love exploring. Many places to eat in walking distance. Several nights we'd walk to get food and then find a spot to watch the sunset while we ate, it was awesome! Then you walk home and avoid all the traffic from people who drove to watch the sunset. The beach right by the condo was one of our favorites. We snorkeled, saw turtles, boogied, you could paddle board too. Great location.

Great stay at this unit. Have stayed at the Kihei Akahi in the past but this unit was by far the best we've stayed in. Nicely maintained and updated all atound. Comfortable bed, and easily accessible plugs on both night stands with USB slots. AC in bedroom and living area was effective, and the added touch of a divertor on the fan on the patio meant you could use the lanai without getting blasted with hot air if it was on. They clearly put a lot of thought into making your stay comfortable and convenient. For a couple, I would highly recommend this unit. Thank you so much, our stay was amazing!

Perfect Location in Paradise

The condo is clean with new modern furniture and appliances. The best part is the amazing beach right across the street. It is one of the safest for swimming and we appreciated the beach chairs, towels and umbrella to make our beach time comfortable. We met many nice people down by the pool and at the barbecue. We will be back again.
