My spouse and I stayed at Sugar Beach for the 2nd year in a row. We enjoyed our vacation in Kihei, and thought the location at Sugar Beach was a great location. We stayed in a different condo last year. This year, we paid $100 more a night. We thought it would be nice to have a corner room with views from 2 sides. Unfortunately, it was NOT worth the additional price. When we arrived in the evening, we were unable to get into our condo. The wrong code had been sent to us. It was late, and we sat by the pool waiting to get the correct information. When we saw the place the first day in the day light, I was surprised how very dirty the place was. NOT clean at all. One of the most disappointing things about the condo, was I ended up having to see my doctor the day after I returned home, since I had bug bites all over my body. I always sat on the sofa, and my husband never sat on it. Every day I noticed I had small red dots on my legs, then arms, and every day I continued to have more. I did not spend any time on the beach in the sand, and only a couple hours a few days at the pool. My doctor and I came to the conclusion they were bug bites from the sofa, that later I had a bad reaction to. I HIGHLY recommend that the condo be bug bombed immediately. I love Kihei, Maui, and would go back again, but I will not stay at another condo listed by Vrbo. The one we stayed in last year was not through Vrbo. Last year, our room had an awesome welcome gift basket which was appreciated!
