Unbeatable Location at Kamaole III Beach - Kam Sands Bldg. 1

  • This third floor, perfectly located, inner courtyard condo in Buildin #1 has a highly desirable single level floor plan. Situated at the end of the building, this unit offers increased privacy and views, with an extra window to watch the sunrise over Haleakala. The lanai looks over lush gardens with fountains and has views of the ocean without road or pool noise.
    The condo can sleep 6 and is wonderfully appointed with all amenities to relax or entertain. The master has a comfortable CA king bed and air conditioning, and the other bedroom has 2 twin XL beds (that can be put together to form a CA king) with air conditioning, and the new couch in the living room transforms into a very comfortable, firm, queen sleeper. Living room has a smart TV (bring your passwords for your streaming services) and air conditioning. The master bedroom has a smart TV as well. Free WiFi.

    The lanai closet contains beach toys and beach chairs/umbrellas.

    The property includes a large pool, children's wading pool, 2 jet spas, several very nice community BBQ and picnic areas, 2 newly resurfaced tennis courst and 3 pickelball courts (free of charge), and a work out facility near the pool. On Wednesday afternoons, guests enjoy free entertainment poolside. On Thursday morning, there are free tennis clinics. On Fridays, there are free morning lectures on either turtles or whales, poolside. Equipment and tour rental services are also poolside. Kamaole Sands offers 24 hour security.

    Kamaole Beach Park III is just steps away, with swimming, boogie boarding and snorkeling with turtles. The family friendly park has an expansive lawn perfect for games, picnicking and watching the amazing Maui sunsets. The beach area also has restrooms, showers, charcoal grills and lifeguards. Beach-walkers can walk south for miles from Kamaole III along other beautiful beaches or walkways.

    Kamaole Sands is within walking distance of shopping and many great restaurants in Kihei, and just a 5 minute drive to Wailea, an upscale resort area with a beautiful outdoor shopping mall and abundant fine dining. Several world class golf courses are minutes away.

    We are confident our condo will be the perfect spot for you to have your dream vacation in Maui.

Lovely condo, just what we needed. The kitchen had everything and the patio was beautiful to sit out on and enjoy the view. Heidi was wonderful to communicate with, and answered so quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was the perfect Kihei condo! It was well stocked with beach supplies and outdoor activity equipment. The condo was perfectly situated on the grounds and was close to the beach, tennis courts and pool. Finally, Heidi was an excellent host who responded quickly to our questions and ensured a smooth late evening check in! Hope to be back soon and would definitely rent this place again!

Wonderful location

We loved our stay here! I think our location was great because of access to the beach across the street and being in the middle of the island. The property was awesome with many amenities and the condo was clean and comfortable.

My family of five really enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands. Over the years we've stayed at a number of different condos at Kamaole Sands and thought this was one of the best. Very clean and nicely decorated and was room enough for all of us.

Beautiful property, fabulous condo, awesome location

Very clean, fresh, new feel-lovely decor! Comfy beds! Loved the beautiful view from deck and gorgeous courtyard. Beach across the road was very nice, as well as, restaurant choices nearby. Great location for day trips and airport as well. Host was great at communicating too. Loved everything about the place!

Beautiful condo in Kihei, Maui

beautiful condo and location. Price was great also. Plenty of ocean toys to use. Owner was very easy to both access and deal with. Highly recommend this property. Would stay here again without hesitation upon returning to Kihei, Maui.

Great place to spend 10 days in Maui!!

We had a great time here in Maui, and staying here was part of the reason why our trip was amazing. We would recommend it to anyone coming here. Affordable, clean, and felt like home away from home. We had no complaints with everything provided. It was great to have beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and a cooler for the many times we went to the beach. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing Location and host

We had a fantastic time at this property. It is situated in the perfect spot where everything is walkable. We walked to the beach every day and boogied boarded. The shaved iced spot was not too far away and there were tons of great spots to eat. Host was extremely accommodating and helped us navigate through minor issues that popped up. Loved being here can't wait to be back!!

Beautiful condo, resort, and ocean view

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. Our two teenage boys had some space away from mom and dad with a separate bedroom with twin beds and a separate bathroom. The view overlooking the grounds of Kamaole Sands out to the ocean was beautiful. Heidi, the owner, was great to work with. Highly recommend!

Great stay on Maui

We had a great time here. The property was in great condition and is in a perfect location. The pool was very close by, and a great beach is across the street. Not far from the airport and all the other places we wanted to see (Wailea, Haleakalā). A lot of great places to eat in Kihei, including awesome food trucks! The complex was generally pretty quiet. We also really appreciated that the host gave us a late checkout on our last day so that we could enjoy the beach one last time before our evening flight. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Kihei area!

Beautiful Condo

We’ve stayed at the Kamaole Sands many times over the years and this condo was one of our favorites! The unit is close to the front of the property, short walk to the beach and shops. The lanai has a beautiful view of Haleakala and the ocean, a rare combo to have both! Everything was very clean, newly updated, comfortable beds and nice big comfy couch. The amenities were everything that we needed, beach chairs, umbrella, nicely stocked kitchen. Heidi is a great host and communicator. We had a wonderful time and hope to stay here again!

Great stay in Kihei

My family, including my wife, and young adult children enjoyed a wonderful week in this unit. It is very clean and well stocked with cooking utensils. It was spacious for five of us, even though we did not spend much time inside. The view is great, and there is not road noise at this unit. The walk to Kam III beach is about three minutes. The location in South Kihei is great, as the beaches get better in Kihei the further south you go. Will definitely try to rent here again!

Great location

Right across from Kam 3 beach. Large windows overlooking the grounds in living room and main bedroom. Unit was clean and looked like quite new carpet in bedrooms. Patio also over looking the grounds and able to see ocean. Pool was a little chilly, but the kids didn’t complain. We woul book this unit again.

Good condo and location

We've stayed at this condo facility before and knew it had a great beach nearby (Kamaole II/III) and this condo was great too. My only negative would be I wished I had received a copy of the welcome packet before my stay, as they only provide a couple sample soaps/shampoos in the condo and I would have brought my own if I had known (and didn't see this in the check-in guide on VRBO) and the boogie boards were not with the beach toys either. Would recommend again!

Wonderful stay

This was our fourth visit to Kamaole Sands. This unit was very clean, well equipped and comfy beds and furnishings. Heidi was very easy to deal with and very responsive to any questions we had. We love Kamaole Sands for the close proximity to Kamaole Beach 3 and this unit was close enough for us to be able to walk to the beach everyday. We loved the view from the lanai and spent all our time there when back at the condo. The lawns and grounds are very well taken care of, we never used the pool are but the laughter coming from the pool area sounds like it was great too. I would definitely stay in Heidi’s condo again.

Home away from home

We had the best experience with our stay. Communication with the host was fantastic. Unfortunately, one in our group had an injury that kept him mostly inside for a few days. The condo was 100% the best for keeping him as comfortable as possible yet the rest of us could take short trips out to the pool or beach (right across road, one of the best building locations) but be back quickly if needed. There were ample starter supplies of all necessities. The condo location was very quiet and we felt very safe. This was truly one of the best VRBO stays we have ever been at. There were beach chairs, beach toys, plenty of beach towels, cooler- everything you need for a day trip! Would definately stay here again.

Just like a resort

Our place was clean and very well organized. Got every essential daily things. We felt just like at home. The best part is that it includes all the beach gears for us. It also has tennis racquets for us. But the racquets are outdated, but OK for beginners. We love the bbq pit. Went to Costco and got RibEyes Steak, perfect for the week. The pool and jacuzzi are nicely kept. We can just walk down the beach to catch some buggie boardings. Will definitely come back here again when there is a chance.

Kamaole Sands building 1

Overall, it was a good experience and visit. Unfortunately, the unit was not very clean, the counter was dirty, floor sandy and debris on the carpets. The owner should invest in a better cooling system for the price we paid to stay here. It was top dollar rate with poor to no way to keep the unit cool. Other than those complaints, the views were great of the ocean and mountains as well as the close proximity to the beach and shopping.
