The interior photos accurately describe this property and the interior of the unit was clean and tidy. My problems with the unit center around safety concerns. I left after one night. This unit is located in a city with a D- safety rating, and in the second most dangerous area of the city. I witnessed a group of teens flighting just blocks from the unit and the neighbors in the adjacent unit were arguing loudly late at night. I found the listing noting a "prime location" given this very misleading. The property is located just feet from a very busy 4 lane road and has an exterior front door that leads to two apartments. This door was unable to be locked and was difficult to close as it is stuck on the uneven floor. We awoke to find the front door visibly open by at least a foot, perhaps left open all night. Further concerning, the interior apartment door could not be further secured from the inside other than the keypad lock. Having a secondary deadbolt or chain would have made me feel more secure once inside. While the interior of the property was clean, the parking area and yard were full of litter and garbage. I was disappointed with the communication with the host. I reached out inquiring about the cancellation policy. I notified the host of our departure. When I expressed my concerns they replied that housekeeping didn't agree. I did not feel the safety concerns could be addressed by the host. I had to reach out to VRBO directly for a refund for our unused nights.

This is how we found the door early in the morning, visibly open. Host noted that it can't be locked. It gets stuck on the floor making it difficult to open and close.

I got to the place it’s a dump with 3’ thistles all around front door wide open with no keys and someone peeing in the back yard. The host never contacted me and wasn’t at the property someone drove up we asked if he knew the owner he said no but he could phone someone who knew the combination to get in. At this point both my wife and I did not feel safe with the front door open and the combination to unit so easily available and we left and had to scramble to find a hotel. I don’t understand why you have such a dump on your site. Totally disappointed

Déçu par l'emplacement et par le bruit

Logement interieureurement propre mais brillant au niveau de la rue et du locataire du dessus.Le lendemain douches en début d'après-midi nous avons manqué d'eau chaude.Des sacs poubelle déchirés devant l'entrée du logements pendant tout notre séjour de 8 journées.

Internet fluctuant. Eau chaude et débit de l’eau inexistant. Nous avons dû prendre nos douches à l’eau froide. Insonorisation inadéquate. Très bruyant avec la rue passante. Air climatisée ne se rend pas dans les chambres. La barre de la salle de bain nous est resté dans les mains. Manque de supervision de la part de Vrbo. Nous sommes habitué avec VRBO mais suite à cette aventure nous ne sommes pas certain de renouveler l’expérience.

Not as shown in pictures. Bad area of town we did not feel safe there or leave anything in our car. No AC. No basic cooking supplies. Ants in the kitchen. We left after 20 minutes.Don’t rent this unit.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. The place was badly kept. They had expired milk and coffee. The coffeemate expired in 2023 and the coffee expired in 2024. The hook of the window blind metal bar was hanging loose and fell on my boy and that was a safety hazard. The washroom metal bar and hook were loose and kept falling when we attempted to hang a towel. The towels were smelly and might not have been washed. The towels were dark brown so it was difficult to tell if they were cleaned. Moreso we were only given two towels. There was no soap and the shower liquid hung on the wall didn't dispense. The shower water knob indicator was bringing hot water for cold and vice versa. One of the light covers was not well fixed which was a hazard. The entrance shoe carpet in the living room was dirty dried mud on it The living room chanderlier which had 5 bulbs had just 2 lights making it poorly lit. The entire outside surroundings had grown weeds. We also saw insects. The place was a big disappointment compared to the pictures they advertised. If not that my family got there late, i would have rejected it and requested a refund.

Unclean and Unstocked

We had to reach out to owner to get access information and then wait until he responded before going in.There were 4 adults 60 and there were 2 towels, no dishcloth or dry towel. The bathtub had mold on it and the floor was dirty. There were crumbs and dirt in the cutlery drawer. I texted the owner to tell him about the towels and did not hear back from him. I took pictures. Very disappointing.

VERY DIRTY, Extremely disappointed!

Horrible! - first glance seemed okay, but not acceptable once in. Fridge was dirty, dirty dishes left in the sink from previous, no dish cloths to wash dishes, no plug for kitchen sink to wash dishes, had to use a large pot, dish towel was stiff it was so dirty. Bed linens were obviously reused and not washed and the pillow cases "smelled like dirty hair/head" The duvets were also smelly. The house was freezing, message host 3 times starting Friday on arrival and didn't get a response until 2am Sunday morning to which the heat was turned up so high we felt sick. Upstairs tenants were extremely loud ALL Night long, to the point at 3 AM Sat morning we had to pound on their door, that they wouldn't answer. They still continued to bang, yell, actually screamed once we thought someone died! We actually had to yell for them to be quiet so we could sleep. But the didn't, so we maybe had a combined 3-4 hours sleep both nights. Dropped hair tie and it went under the bed, so I bent to pick it up and decided to leave it there because there was so much filth it was an inch thick, disgusting. AND the what is really upsetting is that there was a sheet on the coffee table almost guilting us to leave a 5 star review and that this is their livelihood and anything less than a 5 star and they loose their super host status! If this is the type of host and place your represent then you should loose your Superhost Status! Myself 47, sister 50, my mom 73, and my niece 25 all beyond disgusted!

Pros: Close proximity to downtown Kingston was nice, and the property is roomy and has free parking in the back, which is also a plus. Hosts were quick to respond to messages. Cons: We stayed on the main floor and it was very loud from the guests upstairs, especially early in the morning. Also, the listing says it has air conditioning but in fact, there is no central air and it got very hot during the day. Lastly, the internet kept dropping signal throughout our stay. Overall, a decent spot for the price. A bit off-putting that there is a document on the coffee table requesting a 5 star review.

Affordable Clean Well-Equipped 2BR Stay

Stayed in the main level 2 BR unit for 2 nights. Clean, nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Hosts were very responsive both before and during our stay, and everything was as the listing says it was. The exterior of the house and the one beside it looks a little rough, but the inside is all done up nicely. It's next to a police station, and is centrally located so that most things in Kingston are between an 8-15 min drive. For the price, this was a great find and I'd stay there again if I was going back to Kingston.

Great stay!

The house was very clean and spacious! We travelled from London and needed a place to stay with our two children while we visited family in town and area. It's a great location to reach many places in the town. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We loved being able to bring our own food and cook our meals in the kitchen. We loved curling up on the comfy couch and watching shows on the big tv as a family. We will definitely return when we visit family in the future.

The property was exactly as advertised. Host made contact prior to arrival and once while there to ensure all was good. Home was clean and well stocked with all essentials, great location with easy access. Family now lives in Kingston will definitely book again.

Perfect Location/Affordable Stay!

We had a great stay at this apartment. We were in town to tour Queens University with our daughter and this was an excellent jumping off locations. The apartment was located an easy 5 minute drive to the main shopping/restaurant area of Kingston as well Queens College. It was a more affordable option than some of the major hotels and allowed us the space to spread out as a family. Our host was always speedy to respond (she even helped us adjust our original stay from one night to two) and provided easy instruction for our arrival. When we checked in the property clean and comfortable and quiet (house is on the main street but bedrooms are at the back of the house so issues with noise for sleeping). We had a lovely stay and would come back again!
