“This was a beautiful place to stay with full amenities. The Expedia part was rough. No e mail to access door code. Had to call the owner for assistance. Owner very kind and responsive”

It was so neat and clean, there were labels and thoughtful instructions for everything, and even when we got locked out at 10 PM, we were able to call and get immediate assistance! Lots of windows and natural light, with views of the beautiful winter forest surrounding the property. “The room was clean and was on the 3rd floor, and the building has an elevator. When I arrived, there was no one in the building and I had not received instructions for my arrival and had to call and leave a message. I shortly received a text and got settled. I had the Captains Room which was fine but had no true view of Lake Superior due to high, slanted windows. The lighting was too dim for me in spite of the three lamps and sink lighting. I know this is a new age of contactless entry etc., but...

“We only stayed one night because we were passing through. We were upgraded from a cabin to the lake house for no charge because of a booking conflict, so that was very good for us ! Lake house was very roomy , and had lots of character. Some antique furnishings , a full kitchen and laundry, and even two tubs of locally made ice cream in the freezer ! Mainfloor washroom was way too far away away from the bedrooms for our liking , but that would be our only complaint.”

“Overall great experience! Great communication with host. Quick response. One issue was the Jacuzzi, even though we did everything as stated the jets would not come on. The ceiling fan made some noise. Parking on street, be careful of slippery walk ways. Will stay again if needed in the future. ”

“The room was clean and comfortable. We were ideally located near food and shopping. We were also within walking distance of the apostle Island cruise and the ferry to Madeline Island. It was easy to contact the host and they replied very quickly. Would definitely stay there again. ”
