It is spacious for a one bedroom with a decent sized kitchen, a dining room table and a cozy living room area with a smart TV that allowed us to log in to all our different streaming services. The king-sized bed is quite comfortable. The apartment is in an older building with cast iron heaters, so if you aren't used to those, be warned they can be noisy, but they do keep the apartment toasty warm in the winter.The location is excellent. “We were in town for Loyola’s graduation and this was a great place to stay instead of a hotel. The drive to Loyola is about 18 minutes. The apartment is super spacious and has a well stocked kitchen. The manager was great at communicating. You can hear everything that happens upstairs but it didn’t affect our stay and the neighbors were quiet at night. Would highly recommend! Easy parking too which is great. ”

“We had five people stay in this unit, three where teenagers. We loved the unit and its layout. The place is much bigger than the pictures look. It has everything you would need including laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent. There was a great Target right across the street that had a Starbucks. “Visited Chicago for my son’s college graduation the same weekend as the Beyoncé concert so finding a place was a challenge. I lucked in to this sweet little second floor apartment. The stairs were a little tricky but lots of railings made it doable even with big luggage. Super clean and well furnished. Would recommend. ”

The internet went out (provider issue not owners) and we got an immediate response to our email. We felt safe and secure in the garden apartment. “Some friends and I recently stayed here to attend our college reunion at The University of Chicago. We were impressed by the size and cleanliness of the apartment. The location was excellent for the UofC reunion, and the five of us were very comfortable staying there. It is close to shops and public transportation, as well as other offerings in Hyde Park and Chicago. We were able to find parking on the street in front of the apartment.
