The cabin was very clean, quaint and charming. The hot tub, fire pit, ping pong table, foosball table, TV with streaming service, and shelves full of books and board games were great amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment and plenty of plates, bowls, forks/spoons/knives and drinking glasses/cups. The screened in back patio was great too. The neighborhood has nice lake access and house provides a canoe. Overall, a great stay. Just be aware that it's at least a 25 min walk to the lake from the house and you would have to have a vehicle that you can attach the canoe to in order to get it to the lake. Also the roads in this community are unpaved and very gravelly. It would help to have a 4WD vehicle since it's also very hilly.

Views were fantastic, as for the hot tube we weren't able to use it due to the lack of instructions on utilization. Quite narrow roads and was able to make use of the 4 wheel drive in my truck.

Cozy cabin close to everything. Best mattress ever!

Adorable cabin that was spotless and well equipped for a long weekend stay. Gated community with a small lake and running river. So close to all activities at Lake Lure and well equipped with books, foozball, ping pong and a hot tub! The best thing was the amazing hybrid mattress. We slept so soundly and comfortably. Most places have a hard mattress that will compromise a restful sleep. Not here, you will love it!

Very clean. As described well equipped. Left a message for information that was not returned. Read reviews roads to cabin are steep. Difficult to get to in a car. I recommend for nice quiet vacation.

Overall nice place to stay

Nice place to stay. We did have a couple issues, but overall a pleasant experience. The fireplace ran out of gas, hot tub was dirty, but overall this was a nice place to get away for a few days.

Best. Cabin. EVER!

we absolutely loved everything about this cabin ~ the kitchen was very well stocked with great quality items, as was the bathroom with towels and toiletries and the bedrooms with great beds / pillows / bedding. the outdoor areas were equally impressive with a clean, newish grill, a warm and cozy gas fire pit and, best of all, a clean, bubbly hot tub! we have rented many cabins over many years and this is officially at the top of our list and we will most definitely be returning SOON! perfectly private in a gorgeous wooded area, beautiful walks and water nearby. OH! and property management was SUPER friendly and helpful when we had questions and needed help with internet. also loved how the cabin was stocked with NYT best selling books, fun games for the entire family and foosball / ping pong tables as well!

Secluded oasis in the woods

Clean, nicely decorated cabin in the woods. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean with plenty of towels and extra blankets. We will definitely come back or rent again from Carolina Properties.

Tranquil Cabin

Once we found our way into the gated community it was very relaxing. One tip is to be sure to add two stops on your GPS. One for the gate and the second for the house. It's detailed in the iterneray but we missed it. Be sure to follow your GPS the man watching the gate time is the property was across from the gate but it was not. The hot tub was very nice as well as the foosball and ping pong table. The two small lakes were beautiful and of you have kayaks or tubes you will have a blast. Good location just expect to give your car a good wash when you get home :) I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We enjoyed the house. Loved the screened in porch. It felt like we were in a treehouse! The hot tub was wonderful. The inside of the house was dark. Several lightbulbs not working. Requested more but never received

Getaway

If you want solitude this is the place for you. The hot tub was a must after golfing and hiking. Definitely bring a reliable vehicle preferably a all wheel drive. Enjoyed our stay.

Hawks Terrace

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Hawks Terrace. It is advertised accurately. On the plus side, the owners have it well maintained. the beds are very comfortable, distance to surrounding attractions is convenient and no problems with hot tub. On the flip side, if you have a high clearance vehicle, be sure to take it. Couches are somewhat uncomfortable, and outside furniture needed a wipe down. Suggest new batteries in remotes and new ping pong balls. An overall pleasant experience.

Very Clean and Secluded

Our family stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed this cabin. The home was clean and well equipped with linens, soaps, towels and paper products. The hot tub and firepit are very relaxing ready for use. And the screened in deck offers ping pong and quiet space to eat breakfast and enjoy coffee. The property is very secluded, which means a long drive from the front entrance over hilly gravel roads. I would suggest a capable SUV with AWD. And this is really the only reason I might consider somewhere else next time, it just takes a long time to get back out to the main road. I do wish that there were some instructions in the home to use different appliances (hot tub, fire pit, coffee maker etc), which are standard in other homes. Overall, this was a great home, just wish it was a bit easier to get to.

We really enjoyed the cabin, it looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. The only minor negative that we found was that their was not a lot of hot water. Other than that it was a fantastic property

Quiet Getaway w/Relaxing Hot Tub

This log-cabin getaway was perfect for us. We were deep in the woods with nothing but animal and insect sounds, plus the gentle sound of wind chimes. The open-air porch is great for morning coffee. And, the king bed was luxurious! Two bathrooms, so we each got one! And, not too far away from groceries, dining out and getting gas. If you are just a couple trying to relax from the hectic day-to-day or city life, this would be a refreshing change. For raining days, there's Foose Ball and Ping Pong. If you like to read, there are plenty of books to choose from. This house has Roku, so you can select a streaming program from there. We loved it, and hope to return.

Wonderful Cabin Experience

This cabin is beautiful and very comfortable! We felt right at home. The beds and sofas are comfortable. The backporch is amazing! It was very peaceful and relaxing. Just what we were looking for. The hot tub was another plus. We will definitely be coming back to this one!

Relaxing and peaceful getaway

The a accommodation was true to the photograph. It was actually better than we expected and perfectly clean. We were comfortable and had everything we needed and really enjoyed the jacuzzi. We would definitely want to return for another visit.

Perfect Cabin for Rexlaxing.

Everything was amazing!! I would definitely rent this house again!

This property was perfect for a weekend getaway. It had everything we were looking for. We were especially impressed with the cleanliness of the house and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. The only complaint i have is although the hot tub was clean, not all the jets were working correctly.
