“Contrary to some of the review I'd read the hotel was lovely. I had room 10 and, whereas it was a bit basic and old fashioned, it was very clean and no fleas/bedbugs in sight. I had my own bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Nice courtyard, too.”

“This is my favorite spot in all of Ethiopia. It was my second stay at this hotel and proved to be as special as the first. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The view from the balcony is extraordinary with crows, eagles and hawks flying at by. The morning coffee was delicious and everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. I highly recommend.”

“They never tell you that you have to walk for 1 hour uphill without a path in the rocks. If you arrive after 4:30 pm you won’t be able to get to the lodge as it will be dark. Forget if it’s raining. The owner was not expecting us. There were 2 small torches for the lodge. The windows are not tight so there was a hurricane inside your bedroom in the middle of the night. The bed eas humid, thanks god they offer us a hot water bottle. We couldn’t stay the second night as we wanted to see Lalibela...
“There is no place or accommodation in the town bearing this name. The person behind this is running a scam. We were stranded with no where to go and in the end we ended up staying in another hotel paying the maximum dollar. It is unfortunate Expedia is allowing this to happen.”
