Food in the restaurant was excellent too. I recommend the hanging seafood kebab. We attended a family event in the on-site function room and this was well catered. “We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...

“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!”

“Always have a nice quiet stay here. Check-in is online and easy, and entrance and room codes are included in your welcome email. You have the proprietor's mobile number should you need to speak to someone. I would say that cleaning needs to be more meticulous, and maintenance and upkeep of the facilities (roll holders, bathroom shelves etc) has to be more regular...”

“The hotel and lake setting is beautiful. The spa is too expensive when you are limited to only two hours when it is extremely quiet.”

“It was snowing when we arrived. The room was very cold because of no heating. I returned to reception, complained and the heating was connected, After a few hours the room heated up. At 2 am I woke up. The room was very cold and without heating. I called reception for more that 30 minutes but no one answered. In the morning I complained. The hotel answered that there was nothing that could be done. No shampoo in the room. I will not return. Not recommendable.”

“Large free car park. Staff were super friendly and soon sorted out some room problems. Dining area has been recently refurbished with a pleasant outlook over the canal. Corridor areas and the rooms we stayed in, although clean, large and functional seemed a bit tired and in need of a refurb. Powerful shower. Lift doesn't go to all floors. Doesn't seem to have Air conditioning. Breakfast was fine. Good location about 1 mile from Skipton town centre. Bus stop opposite takes you into Skipton if...
