My husband and I stayed two nights in the cabin while in the area for the Grayson Highlands 50-mile trail race. The cabin was so cute and cozy, clean, just as pictured. Incredible mountain views from the front porch and the hot tub, both of which proved key to my recovery the following morning! We cannot have had a more pleasant day, and would return here in a heartbeat when able. Such a gem. Thanks to the hosts for making it available.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! We only had a couple of nights this time, but wished we could have stayed longer. The cabin is very private and our dogs and kids lived the freedom. We enjoyed all the the cabin and property offered and spent hours rocking on the porch enjoying the view and quiet. It’s a great place!

This place is totally remote with a gorgeous view. We had a lovely time hanging out in the jacuzzi and by the fire pit. It was so relaxing! The cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable.

We really enjoyed staying at your cabin! The views were amazing and relaxing in the hot tub was so nice. There were plenty of cooking supplies in the kitchen and the drive to West Jefferson was beautiful!! I will say, the mattress on the queen bed upstairs had a bad dip in the middle and we kept rolling into each other all night. The second night we went to the bed downstairs and it slept much better! Other than that though, everything was perfect!!

My third time to the Helton Creek Cabin. It is very clean and well appointed with amazing views of the valley. The property is very quiet with no neighbors and the fireplace makes for cozy evenings. I love this place and will definitrly be back!

My Grandson wanted time away from busy life and a lot of people. This year he suggested a cabin in the mountains. And, we ended up here. We both loved it! Isolated, peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful views were an added bonus. The weather was not the greatest. The rain and overcast was a bit of a disappointment, but, that made it very easy to kick back and enjoy the cabin, porch and hot tub. And then, a dusting of snow 2 days. We will definitely be going back.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and very cozy - perfect for a small gathering with a friend. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking meals, as well as functioning appliances. The beds were comfortable and the linens were in great condition. Would definitely return again!

This was my husband and I’s second time here and it was even better than our first stay in 2022. Love the surrounding towns and hiking spots. The cabin is so comfortable and perfectly equipped for our small family. The hot tub, views, and wood stove are the cherry on top. We hope to continue visiting each year.

Our best friends from California flew in for a weekend in the NC mountains and this cabin did not disappoint. We spent our days lounging in our pajamas and sitting fireside. We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary here at the Helton cabin. Secluded, comfortable and cozy. The cabin was very clean with comfortable linens with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We used the wood burner and appreciated the wood supply and the outdoor fire ring! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and the view from the front porch is beautiful! Location is near state parks and the Blue Ridge Parkway and close drive to shops and restaurants. Amy was very responsive to our questions and check in/out couldn't be easier. We will recommend the Helton cabins to our friends and family!

Me and the wife have been taking yearly trips to the areas surrounding Grayson highlands. We have definitely found the best place to stay in the area. The cabin is beautiful and in a very quiet area. The views from the porch and the hot tub are breathe taking. The cabin has everything you could need including great highspeed internet in a area of little to no cell signal. Definitely will be coming back.
