“The finishes are a little dated, but very clean overall. The walkway to the apartment was difficult to navigate with a broken foot and cane, the sidewalk had large dips and twists that couldn’t accommodate my walker. ”

“If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, tidy cottage on a perfect lake, this spot checks all of the boxes. This place has all the basics you need for making great food, playing table games, reading and relaxing outside, and talking by a campfire. An incredible home base for any exploration of the White Mountains. Next time, I would rent a kayak or two just to enjoy more of Lake Ossippe's splendor. This is the place for making memories. ”

“I grew up coming up to this lake. My family owned a small log cabin across the cove. It is heart warming to know that there are still a handfull of cozy, knotty-pine paneled cabins here like the one I grew up in. This place was completely charming — big stone fireplace, beamed ceilings with skylights, large deck overlooking the water, lots of windows for natural light. “Our family of three adults, one teenager, one 9-year-old, and a dog, spent a fabulous week at this lovely home. So much to do at the pristine, quiet lake. We loved the variety of small craft to choose from, and were delighted to watch our dog learn to swim. We grandparents are in our early 70s, and had no problem navigating the short path to the lake, or to walk into the water at the shallow sandy shore. “This home was the perfect retreat for us to enjoy a long weekend in Gilford. The open layout made it easy to remain engaged with your companions while in the kitchen/dining room/living room. The kitchen was spacious and functional and made it easy to prep both meals for home and picnics to bring on adventures.
