Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



    Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Just the Vibes We Wanted

I counted and there were 65 steps to stepping in the sand on the beach from our door. I facetimed my sister and we were both like Nannie would have loved this place. It was reminiscent of the place we would go with our family years ago. Great spot. Quiet beach! I was surprised. I will stay there again when I am not staying with family and need a place. Lovely spot. Fun and tropical vibes

Beautiful vacation

Clean , easy checkin. Stayed in rm 245. Close to pool and beach. The pool was closed down Wed and Thursday unfortunately, but we were offered another alternative. The beach was clean and the weather was perfect . We had a great vacation and cannot wait to return . The bed was comfortable as well as the living room furniture.

Clean unit just steps to the beach. Furniture a bit large for the space. Screened in porch very nice. Shower doors went off track a few times. Staff was very friendly. We didn’t use the pool, but the water was warm and people were enjoying it.

The pictures shown are exactly what you will see when you are there. The property was in a great location that was also very calm and quiet. The pool area was clean and large and you cannot beat being right on the beach!

We got what we wanted!

We were contacted by an RVA rep to be sure we understood the late arrival protocol. Our rental was very well put together, I would even say crisp! When we had cleaning services they did a fantastic job! There were plenty of tables & chairs, at the pool and umbrellas & beach chairs on the beach. We grilled several times and the grills were very nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This as Our first stay at Silver Sands and truly had a wonderful experience. Our room was very nicely decorated, clean, and had all the amenities necessary for a stay away from home. Pool is nice, beach access is basically right out the door, and grills were clean, modern and actually worked(unlike a lot of places we have stayed) Can't remember the young gentleman's name(old age glitch), but the front desk manager was a credit to his organization. He was friendly, helpful, efficient, and was constantly moving around the property, checking things out and resolving problems. They ought to give him a raise, for the stellar way he represents his property. We have booked here again for next year!!!!! Try the Lazy Lobster or the Dry Dock for some really good sea food.

One night stay-good view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family enjoyed our one night stay at Silver Sands. It was clean. We loved that the pool was right outside of our room along with a great view of the ocean. My only complaint is that we were not given an extra pair of linens for the pull out couch, so my six year old only had a top sheet off of the king bed and we didn't have a blanket tosleep with because we gave ours to my son. The office was closed when we were discovering this and we were only given a number to call for emergencies only. Needless to say we did not have a good night's rest.
