  • THE SPACE:

    Tucked away in the scenic hills of Topanga Canyon, this inviting 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom guest house provides a peaceful escape. The private patio is perfect for outdoor dining, allowing you to soak in the natural surroundings. Inside, you will find a stylishly furnished space with a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living area, and a spacious bedroom. A modern bathroom adds to the comfort of this charming retreat. Ideal for solo travelers or couples looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

    Guests have full access to the upper guest house with exclusive privileges to all showcased areas. Parking is uncovered and restricted to one vehicle at the top of the driveway, offering a scenic hillside perch. Onsite washer and dryer are available. While we warmly welcome dogs, it`s important to mention that the property is not entirely fenced. Please limit the number of dogs to one.

    Should you desire assistance in enhancing your stay, we`re happy to help with booking activities such as a yoga instructor, personal chef, in-house massage, or any other personalized services. Feel free to let us know your preferences!

    There is a small lower guest house and a main house that may or may not be hosting guests. During your stay, you may come across other guests, vendors, or OAH team members on the property, especially in shared areas like the driveway.

    NEIGHBORHOOD INFO:

    Located in the heart of Topanga Canyon our Hillside Hideaway Guest House is about 6 mile drive to the Pacific Coast Highway. About a mile from the center of Topanga Canyon with great shops, coffee, and restaurants. Located right next to the Topanga State Park filled with hiking trails and beautiful views.

    Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. Please note the final stretch up this driveway to the home is steep so please travel through the canyon with ease and caution. (And totally worth it for the serenity and views it holds). This home does have an EV charger. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you’re an explorer, we do recommend a car.

    If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Los Angeles has the typical available use of Uber and Lyft options as well.

    This property is located approximately 20 miles miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and 23 miles miles from SoFi Stadium.

    Topanga Access Update – August 2025
    - Topanga Canyon is now fully open and accessible; however, please be mindful of the restrictions.
    - There will be overnight closures of SR-27 in the unincorporated area of Topanga for pavement work. Closures will take place Monday through Friday, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night.
    - The work will affect both directions of Topanga Canyon Boulevard between Cezanne Avenue and Happy Trail. During paving hours, one lane will remain open with flaggers directing alternating traffic.
    - Additionally, during daytime hours when the road is open, there are currently three separate sections reduced to one-lane roads. We recommend allowing an extra 10–20 minutes of drive time when heading to the property.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    - This property in Topanga is not fully fenced. Guests bringing animals are advised to use caution to ensure their pets are properly leashed and supervised at all times. The area has a significant wildlife presence, which may pose risks to unattended or unleashed pets. Your vigilance and care are greatly appreciated.

    - We want to reassure our guests that this home was undamaged by the recent fires in the Palisades area. The property remains in great condition and is ready for rentals. Whether you are looking for a peaceful getaway or a long-term stay, our home is fully available. Please reach out with any questions—we look forward to hosting you!

    24 Hour Communication: Our team is available 24/7 while you`re staying with us. If anything comes up during your stay, day or night, you`ll always be able to reach a real person via text, app or phone call.

    By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement. You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement.

    Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed!

    Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine.

    Utility Usage: Utilities are included up to the property’s recent average usage. Any excessive use above that amount may result in additional charges. If applicable, payment for utility overages is due within 14 days of check-out.

    - By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement. You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement.

    - Damages and/or failure to pick up after your pet may result in additional charges at check-out. Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in an additional charge of up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.

    - For any items left behind after check-out, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $25.

    - A minimum of $25 will be charged per lost or unreturned keys, fobs, or access cards. Please ensure they are returned before check-out.

    - Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a $250 fine.

    - Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Please be mindful of the noise level during these hours to respect neighbors and others in the area.

    - Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damages must be reported immediately to the host to ensure proper documentation.

    - Please dispose of all trash in the designated bins provided. If the trash bins are full, please notify the host for further instructions.

    - Any unregistered guests are not allowed to stay overnight without prior written approval from the host. Additional guests may result in an additional charge.

    - Utilities are included up to the property’s recent average usage. Any excessive use above that amount may result in additional charges. If applicable, payment for utility overages is due within 14 days of check-out.
