Overall experience at The Lake house was great. It was a perfect location, somewhat remote but a 15 minute drive to the market and 20 minutes to Pepperdine. Two pieces of feedback that would have made it a five star stay:1. Screen doors on the sliding doors (2nd floor and the bedrooms). Specifically the one bedroom where there is no window to open. The second floor where the kitchen is also critical because of all of the bugs that come in. TONS came in while cooking dinner, attracted to the smells and the light. 2. Someone from the company showed up unannounced around 11:30 and scared the crap out of my young teens. I was at the market and he just showed up and let himself in. I appreciated the quick response once I reached out and apology, however, I should have been called immediately rather than have to reach out myself and well, it just should not have happened at all. Even with those cons, my family would stay there again when we need a weekend away to visit our daughter at school.
