Our family had a fantastic time at this place. Perfect location! The house was perfect for kids, with plenty of space and a lovely backyard. Pool was a little chilly but the hot tub was nice to have as an option when the pool was too cold for the little ones ! We can't wait to come back!

Die Unterkunft war eine große Enttäuschung. Obwohl sie für 8 Personen ausgeschrieben war, waren die Zimmer viel zu klein und der Außenbereich kaum nutzbar – nur zwei Liegen, eine davon kaputt, verrostete Stühle und ein beschädigter Tisch. Der Garten war stark verschmutzt und musste erst selbst gereinigt werden.Die Sauberkeit ließ insgesamt stark zu wünschen übrig: Küche, Bäder und Möbel waren dreckig, muffig und teilweise beschädigt. Haare im Abfluss, klebrige Oberflächen und Gerüche machten den Aufenthalt sehr unangenehm.Dazu kamen zahlreiche technische Defekte: Whirlpool-Display, Waschmaschine (Kleidung wurde beschädigt), Geschirrspüler, Ofen, Fenster. Keine Klimaanlage, nur Deckenventilatoren, Heizer ließ sich nicht ausschalten.Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war minimal und nicht hilfreich. Für den Preis absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Musst man selber rausholen, weil Wasser lief nicht mehr ab.

The house is in a charming quiet neighborhood close to the water. The house itself has so much charm and is very relaxing. The beds are also very comfortable to fall into after a long day of exploring or beaching. Check-in and out was painless and owners respected your privacy. Will 100% be staying here next time I'm in SoCal.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Pictures show 4 queen beds and 1 twin. Description does say 4 total beds, but none of us saw that. We booked because we needed 5 beds. Dryer took over 3 hours to dry a load of clothes. I notified the owner and she responded that maybe it’s time for a new one. Dishwasher worked one time. Owner sent someone to look at it but that is all he did, look at it and not fix. There was only one small skillet so we had to buy a big one to cook with. Plenty of bed sheets but only a few towels. Bathtub is hard to step in and out because of its height. A bath mat in the tub would help. Backyard is beautiful! Loved the hot tub.

Hot tub wasn’t ready. Needed to be drained, cleaned and refilled. We lost 2 days of usage. Pool needed to be cleaned and pump wasn’t on. Sewage backed up into front yard and overflowed. Needed to stay till plumber arrived. Asked for partial refund but no reply. When problems fixed, everything fine. Appliances were all new.

Wedding vacation

Our stay in Torrance was excellent. The house was clean and comfortable. The only things that I would suggest would be:1 - There were no washcloths and we had to borrow some from a relative that lived nearby. More towels and some washcloths would be good.2 - A larger pan for cooking would be appreciated. Something either 10" or 12".3 - The hot tub obviously hadn't been used in a while and wasn't too clean inside. And, of course, the pool was cold!Other than that - we had a great time in the house.

This house was a great fit for 4 adults – large kitchen and dining area, comfortable beds, hot tub, quiet location, and beautiful neighborhood. (They did have furnishings and equipment for babies, too.) Even if you have never played golf, I highly recommend walking up the hill to the city park to play a fun round on their 9 hole short course. The house is older so it is worn in places but in good condition. Although clean on the surface, the four star rating is because it needs a deep clean.

Perfect for Christmas

Our usual Christmas family gathering spot is under remodel. This VRBO became the perfect substitute. We had a hiccup of the water heater going out. Tasha was on top of it and had it replaced right away. Small notes, for a big beautiful kitchen, it was shy of some basics. That and very few bathroom hand towels.

Great place to stay

This place was very clean and just as advertised. And our host was very quick to respond to every message sent. I do have to apologize for not cleaning as much as we would have liked prior to leaving. A late final night and early morning departure curtailed our intentions, so I apologize for that. And thank you for letting us stay in your home. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend. The hot tub and pool were used multiple times and were a great added bonus!

Great Stay in the South Bay!

This was our second stay at "Lovely Cottage..." and we love this house. The owners are so easy to communicate with and they respond almost immediately to questions via the VRBO app. Our flight from the east coast arrived early at 8:45am and although check in was not until 3:00pm we messaged the owners requesting early check in. They said the property was ready and allowed us to check in around 12:00pm noon. We lived in Torrance for many years, practically in the same neighborhood so we know the area very well. It always feels like coming home when we stay here. I highly recommend "Lovely Cottage...". We are already looking forward to our next trip back home to Torrance and our stay at this awesome house.

Spacious and Bright

We enjoyed our stay. Everyone had their own bedroom and shared the spacious kitchen, dining room and living room. We wished we had more time to enjoy the very nice backyard. We were pleased with the size of this home and how our family was able to spend time together on the main floor. The neighborhood was very nice, near the shopping plaza and better yet the beach. Less than 10 minutes drive to the beach, boardwalks and restaurants. Our issues were, the 2nd floor shower door needs to be replaced as it does not close and we had to place a towel on the floor to catch shower water. The kitchen faucet is broken and must be replaced. Very hard mattresses on the second floor bedrooms. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
