My husband wanted to see the Nethercutt Museum so I searched for an affordable place that was “outdoorsy” for me. I booked it without realizing it was Valentine’s Day and it turned out to be so romantic. It was the perfect quirky, outdoorsy, artsy and cozy cabin. In the woods, but close to any amenities you might need. I loved waking up to roosters crowing, walking out to the little outdoor kitchen to make tea and coffee. Went to sleep listening to frogs and crickets. Crisp air and the creek were invigorating for me since we live in a little condo in the San Diego concrete jungle. Everything was clean and comfy! It was very chilly at night but we stayed very warm with the electric heaters provided (silent, and efficient!!) This place is for outdoorsy, adventure types who enjoy rustic and can appreciate it. We never needed the host except for my apologies asking for check in instructions after we had received them when I made the reservation. I got exactly what I was looking for and will definitely come back and recommend!

Property was described accurately. Waking up in the woods was a treat. Peaceful and quiet. May be inaccessible without a 4wd vehicle but wasn’t a problem for us. Host was very responsive even for our late checkin.

A few lights were on, so we could find our way into the dark. The receiver route info to the property were perfect. Only complane was the loudnes of the bed in the first floor that sound trought the hole house. Futher everting was as discriped and what we aspect. A plendid experiance into the environment of Topanga Canyon.

Merveilleux endroit

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Topanga. Il faut aimer le cote rustique et nature, c'est un endroit insolite et assez unique, les enfants ont adoré les espaces, les lézards, grenouilles, souris, coyotes... attention pas adapté aux enfants en bas age (sécurité garde corps, acces chambre étage, terrain en pente...). Hote charmant et disponible !

As advertised and completely met our needs for a long weekend - loved the proximity to hiking and beaches, local eats and festivities in Topanga. The kitchenette on the deck was great for the weather (70s/low80s); owners were responsive with questions and directions were clearly laid out. Recommend takeout from Endless Color; road up to lodging is not paved but easily navigable/good condition. Definitely check out the trails surrounding the property!

Lovely place and house but stay was slightly spoiled

Lovely wooden house, beautiful area. Only spoiled by the fact we couldn't get in toilet /bathroom for most of our two day stay. The door locked itself and one of the owners promised to get it fixed but didn't. Turned out she wasn't there much and didn't know that by using a coin trick, it could be opened. We obviously didn't know either so we were left without a bathroom. After reaching out again for help, we did get a text off the main owner explaining how to get in, towards the end of our trip, but it was spoiled by this, sadly

Spring Break 2025

Everything was as described. It’s a great little place. It was nice to get away from the city for a bit. My teen enjoyed it and my 6 year old loved the second floor and the nature walks and outdoor on the property.

Beautiful, comfortable and perfectly rustic

We loved our stay in Topanga! The kids loved sleeping in the upstairs room and playing on the swing. I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and roosters outside. The outdoor kitchen was great and had everything we needed! The bathroom is in an outbuilding and was comfortable and easy to access - I took a bath and watched the trees through the skylight. We miss it already!

The worse experience!

The upstairs room was smelling so bad. The area outside the bathroom was stinking. The heater wasn’t working. We immediately left the cabin. Please do not book here. Not worth a penny

Wonderful Wilderness

We loved it & plan on returning for sure. The rustic vibes made it an adventure you cannot find in a hotel. The bathroom being a few steps away from the cabin was UNIQUE & so cool ! Fun in Nature !

Beautiful Escape

This is an amazing place for those who don't shy away from nature. It's tuckes away, but close enough to Topanga to easily explore the rest of the community. The outdoor kitchen was magical. It was exactly what we needed. Thank you to the hosts for curating such a serene space!serene
