We loved this cabin! The view, the deck, the firepit, the wall to wall knotty pine, it’s exactly what a Maine cabin should be. We dined once at Cohill’s in town, other than that we were happy to eat in and enjoy the house. Absolutely recommend

Quite possibly, THE BEST

Gorgeous location, beautiful views, nice and cozy inside qith plenty of open space as well. Kayaking location is near perfect as well with scenic spots.

The house was a beautiful rustic, log cabin perfect for a couple alone or with children. We brought our two Bernese mountain dogs. The cabin was very dog friendly and we appreciated that. It was also really well appointed they had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.

Peace and Quiet

Beautiful setting and view, short drive to Lubec which has a few restaurants. Best if you're wanting to get away and sit with nature. Amazing ocean breezes through the cabin.

Amazing views and the best hosts

The Mainely Cabin is a wonderful, peaceful place to spend some time in Lubec. The hosts and property manager are some of the nicest hosts, actually nicest people, you could ever hope to meet. The views and access to Cobscook Bay are priceless We will definitely return at our next opportunity!

Beautiful home and view

I loved staying here. The house has lots of charm and a terrific view. We went to Lubec to hike and relax. If you are looking for a vacation to get away from your fast paced, busy routine, this is a great option. And the coastal views in the Lubec area cannot be beaten.

Wonderful cabin with an amazing view

We had an amazingly peaceful time at the cabin. The sunrise over the water was beautiful and you can't get enough of the starry sky at night. We walked the rocky beach with our dog who also had a wonderful time. Such a relaxing place to just sit and take in the beauty and wildlife. We'll definitely be back!

The Mainely Cabin

We love staying at the cabin. The owners are very friendly and quick to respond. The cabin itself is so cozy and welcoming. We love that we are able to take our two dogs as well. It’s a great place to detach from the stresses of everyday life and enjoy peace and nature.

Cabin was excellent. If you want to be away from it all, this is a great place to relax. Had to change reservations details last minute due to a hurricane and host was excellent to work with us. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay again. Recommend A+

Waterfront Retreat

If you want to get off the beaten path and you don't mind that the nearest town is closed for the season, then this rental is for you. Tranquility, peace, quiet and a lot of nature.

Our Favorite destination

This was our third time in the Mainley Cabin. We fly all the way from California just for this perfection. Nothing beats this location. It’s so quiet and peaceful yet with all modern conveniences. Thanks to owners Damon and Jamie for always being so kind and working with us. And Carla! Always available and flexible. Can’t wait to come back.

Another outstanding visit

Same spectacular vacation as we had here last year (see 9/8/2023 review). Our only disappointment was someone else beat us to booking the same time for next year. The serenity, comfort, views, and overall experience are perfect.

One of our best experiences.

Not only is the property in a beautiful setting, but very comfortable and dog friendly. The owners take into account everything you might need and more. Property managers very helpful and attentive. The best part is the ocean access and view that can't be beat.

I’ve stayed in many Vrbos/AirB’s all around the world. This rental made it to my top 3 list, simply because it has everything you could ever want. It’s truly a hidden gem and thats great for anyone who already knows about the charm that Lubec has. The home itself was extremely clean. The kayaks were easy to use, and you can’t beat the view of the sunrise every morning out the windows. Especially if you sleep upstairs in the loft like we did. I’m telling you straight up, there isn’t a better rental in the town of Lubec, this is by far the best in the area. I’ve been coming to Lubec every year for the last 6 years just to give you some background.

Perfect Maine Vacation

We loved our stay at the cabin! The views of Johnson's bay and Eastport were awesome. We were able to take advantage of and enjoy the fire pit and kayaks provided with the cabin. Our pup also loved the easy beach access to go swimming every day. It's a great location for exploring Lubec and the surrounding area. Our hosts are very gracious in providing many extras to make the stay most enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Amazing place

This is an amazing place in a beautiful location. Our 2 standard poodles were with us, and this is easily the most dog-friendly place we've stayed. We enjoyed the large deck, and the comfortable screened porch. And the stars through the large windows and skylights! We live in Maine, and always enjoy being in Washington County, but this trip was special.

I wish I could write a negative review so that I can have this place all to myself. This is our second time coming to Mainley Cabin, once in October, and once in May and each time has been perfect. The owners, the manager, the house, the town. Everything is perfect about this place. Hoping to call Maine home someday.

A beautiful cabin with a view

We loved our 6 night stay here. The cabin was as described and well furnished. They even had some basic food items and snacks which were very appreciated when we arrived after everything had closed. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked well. They even had well seasoned firewood in the basement, making fires a breeze. We'll definitely be returning.

Great place to get away from it all

One could not ask for more helpful, thoughtful hosts than Tony and Dottie. The cabin had everything one would need for a worry free vacation and they were always available to answer questions, give history of the area or just chat without intruding on your personal privacy. The cabin was spotless, the views magnificent and the area fun to explore. A great vacation for sure. You

Just wow

We were so happy with our stay and the overall service experience. The host and her property manager were extremely responsive and eager to maximize our experience. Even with bad weather and power outages they were able to attend to our comfort. The property itself is exactly as advertised and very pretty. Lots of hiking and beach and water views so nearby. We will be back!

Perfect days in Mainley Cabin

From arrival to departure our stay was perfect. We enjoyed a rainy day relaxing and watching birds and tide come and go. The sunny days were great for beach walking, taking advantage of great hiking trails we could walk to right from the cabin. Cooking dinner out on the charcoal grill, enjoying dessert on the screen porch. Just a nice, quiet, week to festers and enjoy rural northern Maine in this cozy cabin.

Our Favorite Vacation!

Our trip to Lubec and at this cabin was by far the best vacation our family has taken. Lubec is such a sweet little town and the house was absolutely perfect. The house was spotless when we arrived. The setup is beautiful with the perfect loft area overlooking the water. The kids had the best time kayaking and walking the beach each day. It was so worth the long drive and we can’t wait to come back next summer.
