This was a great stay for Spring Break. Right in the middle of so much - especially if you are an outdoor enthusiast. Our host really thought of everything at her cabin - from the popcorn machine to the logs for the fire pit. The only thing I would warn people about is that it is a one lane road up to the house which sometimes results in a bit of a stand off. Otherwise, wonderful trip!

Third stay at this house which should say it all. House is well appointed, very comfortable and clean. There is an outdoor porch with grill for balmy weather. This time we really enjoyed the sunroom with electric fireplace and table for puzzling. Multiple televisions with streaming options for those looking to watch a movie or football game. Short trip to Asheville, Waynesville, or the Blue Ridge Parkway for those who want to get out and about. Strongly recommend.

Absolutely perfect! Great location, awesome views, privacy, fenced in area for our furbaby and also roll-away gates at entry/exit of the porch to contain our furbaby. Very comfortable accommodations with a fully equipped kitchen with anything you may need. Loved the sunroom with its own fireplace to ward off the chill as you enjoy morning coffee while taking in the beautiful view. A very nice and unique accessory was a towel warmer. So indulgent wrapping up in a warm towel after a shower. We loved it so much, we reserved an entire week for next year.

Beautiful home.

The house was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. We are right across from the fair grounds so at night we could listen to music for free. The driveway to get to the house is a bit scary, but most driveways in North Carolina and Tennessee take some getting used too. Once we drove up it once we knew what to expect and it was fine. The host has a lot of great tips on places to hike and eat. We would stay again.

Spring Break

We had an amazing time visiting our daughter and her family during their spring break. We drove from Florida and they live in Waynesville and it fit everyone’s needs. The big open kitchen allowed us to have breakfast in the morning and we cooked out on the grill and ate on the sun porch or outside on the deck. Their was so much room we had s’mores by the fire at night and enjoyed the hot tub all overlooking the mountains and minutes to publix.Well stocked with everything and we played games and really had a wonderful time! Only minutes to the blue ridge parkway! would love to come back!

Maggie Valley

Halfback Ridge is in the heart of Maggie Valley and is easy to get to. Property is flat with plenty of parking. The cabin is one of the nicest in M.V. that we have rented in 15 yrs.. The weather was excellent for early April and we enjoyed the wrap around porch. Cabin is very clean and well stocked. Popcorn machine was a treat. Comfy beds were nice. We won't hesitate to rent again as we visit M.V several times throughout the year. Book it and enjoy it.

Perfect Maggie Valley Getaway!

Our stay at Halfback Ridge cabin was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by pristine cleanliness that immediately put us at ease. The hot tub and fire pit were the perfect spots to unwind and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the popcorn machine! It added a fun and nostalgic touch to our evenings in. Plus, being able to bring along our furry friends made the experience even more enjoyable. What truly sets Halfback Ridge cabin apart is the attention to detail. It seemed like every possible need or desire we had while traveling was already anticipated and provided for. From kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, we lacked for nothing during our stay. We are already contemplating our return trip to Halfback Ridge cabin and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking a tranquil and relaxing getaway. Many thanks to the owner for sharing this slice of paradise with us!

Ski Getaway

Wonderful vacation. Home was very nice. Fireplace put out the heat - kept the thermostat lower than usual. Living room comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Hot tub was fantastic. So close to Cataloochee Ski Area- very convenient. Restaurants were close as well. We love Cataloochee and are repeat visitors. Would definitely stay again. Host was very responsive and easy to work with. One of our best Cataloochee experiences!

Best of both worlds!

We went skiing at Chatalooche, which was a short 10 min-ish drive from the cabin. The cabin was near some really yummy, authentic Mexican food, not to be missed. The views of the mountain range and the quietness of the area made for a lovely family vacay. Would def recommend and would love to return!
